ArborMAX Rope Bag

I have a ton of trees on my property, there is always one that needs cutting down or one with a dead limb hanging in the branches. Over the years, I have acquired many tools used by arborists, and while I may not use them as often having them at my disposal is a huge help. I used to just keep my 1/2” rope put up, but then I was trying to perform a task and the rope got so fixity that it instantly got converted to life on the ATV. I bought a new rope and asked a friend of mine who is an arborist how to keep the rope clean - simple a rope bag. Some of the rope bags were frankly way too expensive for my humble needs, but I found this bag and it seemed to be well built. I truly believe that this bag is a great value. Pictured above with a 125 ft 1/2” rope there is plenty of room. The rope is secured to a steel loop in the bag and comes out of the bag perfectly. The pockets on the outside of the bag are perfect for carabiners, shackles, and other rigging equipment. Whether I am tying the rope to my throwing line, after it has found the perfect spot or simply working with just the rope, the bag provides a way to keep unused rope clean and tangle free. The bag looks well stitched and the material is very heavy and robust. I didn’t mean to get a matching rope and bag, but that is the way it worked out - it also goes well with my Dewalt tool box that I keep in the ATV. Very pleased with the purchase. I think this bag is solid enough and versatile enough that it could be very useful for other endeavors…Maybe to hold gardening implements, or even equipment for lawn games. I fully recommend this bag.

Fits my 140 ft of 10 mm rope including biners and other gear very nicely.

Holds 200ft of 11.6m petzl flow rope, zigzag, 6 carabiners and a few other things. Only complaint is the draw strings are a hassle to tighten at first.

This works quite well for stashing rope. Very handy. The reason for a markdown on durability is because the drawstring aglet popped out after closing the bag (tightening the drawstring) several times. This is the only issue I've encountered with the bag. I can live with that. I keep a Maasdam rope puller in the bag as well but cut a circle of 1/2" plywood and placed it at the bottom of the bag to reinforce/protect the bottom of the bag from being torn up by the rope puller.

I've purchased several of these at multiple times for rigging ropes. The bag material is decent and it would easily hold 150', possibly 200 ft of 1/2" rope. The grommet that is supposed to guide the cinch ropes came off in the first 10 minutes of use. The cinch channel for the rope doesn't glide over the rope so you can never get it to close down to a small aperture. This is inexpensive and you won't get more than you pay for. For me, it's OK for rigging rope. Would not be good enough for climbing ropes, at least in my opinion.

It works good to put 200 ft of 3/8 winch rope in and carry it on our Polaris

the bags closer is very diffcult to use, and dosen't close completely
