Incredibly annoying, loud, clicking sound and the trackpoint doesn't work
It is backlit and the keys function well. It was also fairly easy to install. Unfortunately, all the big keys - Backspace, Enter, Shift, Tab, CapsLock, and Spacebar - make an extremely annoying, loud, clicking sound. Spacebar is the worst and, since it is used so often (after every word you write), it turns typing into an upsetting, nerve-wracking experience. That loud clicking sound is so overwhelming, annoying and distracting that it robs you of the focus on your work. I will therefore return the keyboard.PS: I am now correcting my review and adding two new facts that I have noticed in the meanwhile:1.) The trackpoint does not work. It has never worked but since I have not been using it until now, I have not realized that.2.) The white inscriptions on the keys (the letters, numbers or signs that are written on the keys) have absolutely no wear-resistance: none at all! After only two weeks of my use of this keyboard, the keys have lost almost half of their inscriptions. That white paint keeps disappearing so fast that it feels as if it was chalk, not paint. It is unheard of. The paint on the original keyboard lasted for ten years, while this one lasted less than two weeks!!I am returning this keyboard and also changing my previously given two stars into one star only.

It works, but with a few caveats...
THE GOOD: Key action is silent and smooth, and the keyboard looks and feels just like OEM. The red TrackPoint works as expected. Keyboard backlight has two brightness modes just like OEM, and functions the same.THE BAD: The sliding keyboard frame that gives you access to the mounting screws didn't slide all the way back like it's supposed to. The right-hand side barely slid up at all and I couldn't access the right-most screw to secure it. This also made it difficult to place the keyboard inside the bezel, since the sliding frame has tabs under the bottom row of keys that should be recessed when the frame slides back; since the frame didn't slide back on the right side, those tabs didn't get recessed and I had to force those tabs under the bezel. When sliding the frame back, the side that did slide immediately broke off the "Fn" (function) key, and despite several attempts to reattach it, it keeps falling off. Luckily that key is barely used, but not something I'd expect to happen on a brand new keyboard, especially when following the instructions they supplied a link to. Speaking of the link, they supplied it on a printed piece of paper but the font they used was a sans serif font, where capital i's and lowercase l's look the same. The link had both, and it took me 3 tries to find the correct combination to get the link to work.

Could not install on my wife's Lenovo ThinkPad...
I was pretty sad when I realized this keyboard wasn't quite compatible with my wife's Lenovo ThinkPad laptop, even though it looks identical to her laptops keyboard. Only bought it to add LED back lighting.Unfortunately I was not able to get it installed as expected... :(
