Q: Do I need a t-bar row platform to use this properly?

I have homemade blocks I use with an Olympic Bar and "Landmine" set-up. Depending on the size plate you are using, you can do it without the platform. For bent over rows you should not need a platform but for an adapted squat you may need to be higher using 45 lb plates to get lower. The attachment works great. It was a good functional addition to my gym.

It takes up approximately 2 1/4 inches of sleeve length.

Q: Does this come with the handle pictured?

No handle . Just ring,chain, and fastener .
