Perfect for betta that can’t eat large pellets
My better appreciates these pellets! He cannot eat the standard size pellets, these are smaller and he gobbles them up!!! Thank you 🙏

Great pellets!
I was feeding Aqueon before, but once I found out that these float I switched to these and have been using these ever since. I have 7 bettas (2 solitaries and a 5 member sorority) so morning feeding time was a bit time consuming trying to make sure everybody got the right number of pellets. These cut that way down and it is much easier for me to target a single fish by plopping the pellet right in front of him/her and not having to worry about it sinking and someone else gobbling it up. These also alleviate the issue where you drop one and your fish doesn't see it or just doesn't feel like chasing it to the bottom so you have to fish it out of the tank. The only gripe I have (and it's a minor one) is the package is a little funky to deal with due to the imprinted dispensing tube. I'm not saying I could design a better one, but the plastic jar the other pellets come in seems easier to me. Not to mention you get a massive amount of pellets compared to these with the other brands so those are definitely a better value. That being said, I am sticking with these because the floating pellet is so much easier for me to deal with than my old sinkers. I can't be certain of this, but I thought I'd mention that I think these pellets are partially to thank for the recovery of one little blue female I have that has had swim bladder disorder for weeks. I've tried everything on her (fasting, peas, both gram negative and gram positive antibiotics, etc.) and nothing was working but around the time I tried API General Cure I switched her to these pellets. I can't say for sure that it is the pellets or the API GC, but one of the two or some combination of both has worked and she has been swimming normally for the past couple days instead of bobbing around sideways like a cork. TL;DR - although not the best value proposition these pellets are my go to pellets from now on due to their quality and the fact that they float.

Best Betta Food on the Market!!!
I have used this Betta food exclusively and always have great success with bettas. They live 3-4+ years and seem very healthy. (And I use little 1/2 gallon tanks with no heaters or filters! Not ideal, I know, but I do frequent water changes.)My favorite things about the food are: 1) the pellets are very small and easy to eat, even for young bettas (most betta pellets are way too big), and 2) the pellets ALWAYS float. Even if they get bumped, almost eaten, etc. and go below the surface of the water, they pop back up to the top and eventually get eaten. The pellets have to be in the water for a long time to actually sink, and that hardly EVER happens.I feed my bettas several times per day, but only a few pellets at a time. (3-6 pellets per feeding.) I also supplement with dried blood worms and other freeze-dried betta treats. And in the summer, any fruit flies I catch in the kitchen become live betta food, which they gobble right up.I actually love the packaging. The food stands nicely right next to the tank, and it is super-easy to dispense just a few pellets, and put extras back in if I get out too many. I don't know what a few people are complaining about, regarding the packaging. It is a great design.I have had such good results with this food that when my local PetSmart didn't seem to carry it any more, I ordered it from amazon. Got it in two days. I will never switch and will continue to feed the Hikari Betta Bio-Gold. Highly recommended.

Superior Fish Food
I am an avid fish keeper. I recently purchased a Betta for my office at work, and the ONLY food I could find in the Pet store was Tetra Betta. The first ingredient in this food is wheat, followed by gluten. In fact, Fish Meal is the SEVENTH ingredient!!! This is what you are buying when you pick up fish food from big box stores. This is absolutely unacceptable! You will be left with a sad, dull looking Betta. Now lets take a look at Hikari (I also use New Life Spectrum. Hikari is notorious in the fish world for having superior food than other leading brands. Yes, it is slightly more expensive, but fish meal is the FIRST ingredient listed. This makes a HUGE difference in fish nutrition. As a result, you will be left with a more vibrant, happy, healthy, and active fish friend. The pellets are also a lot smaller and easier to eat. Bettas are able to swallow the food whole instead of spitting it back up, which leads to less waste at the bottom of the tank (ie, less ammonia spikes, less risk of death/disease). They are also suitable for fry/smaller betas. My betta also prefers the taste over other brands. This is the steak of fish food, tetra being a slice of white bread.I uploaded a picture of the ingredients, as well as a side by side of the food (larger pellet is tetra)

Best food because of small size and keeps afloat - little more expensive than competition
- much smaller size than Aqueon and Tetra betta pellets- float nicely even after soaking them a few minutes in aquarium water before feeding so they aren't so crunchy for fish - this is important as betta may not seek food at bottom of tank- more expensive for weight of food purchased but worth it- don't be discouraged if betta won't eat this right away - they are notoriously picky eaters and may prefer whatever pet store has been feeding them so you may need to transition from those pellets to this one- main gripe is the packaging - its open to air so food is less fresh over time- I try to feed about 6 pellets/day
