E171 - AUX 3.5mm Wired Earbuds with Microphone & Volume Control

Brilliant product, I’ve always used back of head band earphones as buds ect don’t stay in my ears. Due to a knee injury I haven’t been able to use for running but feel very secure and snug. I have used for weights, cross trainer and other similar equipment so I am very confident they will be fine.

These earbuds are perfect for listening to spoken word, news, talks, etc. Comfortable and stay secure with the over-ear hooks. Great value compared to ones costing many times more. Feel fairly solid if you fall asleep with them in, as long as you don't yank them too much. Hope to get a couple of years out of them. Longer would be nice.

comfortable and works well. Sometimes is a little tricky to wrap around the back of my ear, gets caught in my hair a lot. Bought it to take video calls for work on my laptop. I can hear others very clearly. Comes with various sizes of rubber plugs as you'd expect any decent earphones should.

Great for music on the go secure in the ear even when pushing the limits !

REVIEW UPDATE: I've now had these earphones for a couple of months, and it's become clear that the in-line microphone quality is really quite bad. So I've lowered my originally 4 star review to a 3, especially since I'm having to buy new earphones for those Zoom calls. Audio Quality: Decent. They won't blow you away -- but they won't disappoint either. They have emphasised bass (like so many nowadays), but the mids and treble are still very present. Another reviewer on here said the audio quality was on par with the earphones you get on flights -- this is simply not true. They are perfectly good for what they are. Functionality: Okay-ish. The earphones are well-built and "solid" feeling, but over long stretches of time they can get uncomfortable -- at least for me. For a run or workout sesh they're fine, but not so much for long stretches watching Netflix etc. Another slight gripe is that the over-ear loops are extremely flexible (see pic), to the extent that they're not really securing anything at all. All they do is stop the earphones falling off completely, if they happen to work their way out of your ears. This means most of their ear grip comes from the small rubber nubbins (?) on the speakers themselves that go in your ear. Thankfully the earphones come with 3 different sizes of the aforementioned nubbins, so you can choose one that suits you best. I needed the big ones.

These are just great, they far exceed my expectations. I always wear over the head/ears headphones, but in this hot weather it's impossible. Got these over-ear hooks to use instead and they are wonderful. Sound every bit as good as high-end ear-phones, easy and light to take in pocket. I am delighted.

Clicking the product link for this review is taking me to a different style of headphones so this review is for the Avantree SPORTS Headphones which have over the ear hooks. I really like them and am enjoying using them when I workout. I have really small ears so I was worried that the inner ear piece wouldn't fit well or be uncomfy but I was pleasantly surprised that they are a snug, secure fit without making my inner ears feel like they're being stretched. In the pack I ordered it came with replacement silicone covers in different sizes so that's handy if you need to play around with getting them to fit well. I use these with my phone to play music off of and the sound is so much better than any other earphone I have used. Sound is not tinny, good bass and super noise cancellation - even when there's no music playing I can't hear the environment around me. The review loses a star though because the headphones I ordered are meant to have a microphone in the mid-wire control bar and this either doesn't work or is non-existent. Really would have been perfect if the microphone function worked rather than having to mess around with getting my phone out of my arm holder, taking the headphones out and trying to answer a call on time before it cuts out. Also, this mid-wire control bar for adjusting volume is really firm and stubborn so I've had a few occasions where I'd be pressing it to turn the volume up and I have nearly deafened myself or when I've tried to turn the music volume down, it suddenly will work and turn the music right the way down to mute. Aside from this minor quirkiness about it, I use them daily and like them. Just as a tip for anyone wondering how to keep them clean - I just wipe mine down with alcohol wipes after use and let them air dry (which they do in about 15 seconds) and that keeps them clean and free from bacteria from sweat, skin grime and ear jam!

Poor quality

I work as a call center assistant and since this quarantine I have been working at home. I normally always wear wireless earphones, but with the program we use at work and using remote computer from home, wireless makes the calls choppy. I needed to find some wired headphones to go with my iphone X. I got these hoping they would work well for my work and I am pleasantly surprised. Especially for the price! I have been using them for a few days now, for 8 hrs straight. I have been told by others on the phone that the mic is working well, I am coming through very clear - so no issues at all there. I can hear everyone fine, the sound quality is actually really great and they fit me well and are very comfortable. For me, I need the type of headphones that either go fully around the head or wrap around the ear. The little earbud type and air-pods always continuously fall out of my ear. With these, I can comfortably work at my desk, move and look around, the earphones don't fall out. The wrap around isn't rigid, but that might make more comfortable. I don't have any issues with discomfort. I also wear glasses while reading and working on the computer and they fit well with my glasses. So I do recommend these, so far so good. I haven't had any issues yet with them.
