matte finish, had to drill two additional holes for screws for added strength due to my wood top being too light in weight. Very happy with the metal legs

My table weighed 12 pounds, worked well

Q: Can these be painted?

Yes, you can paint them if you don’t like the black finish. I would recommend you first sand the legs and then use Rust-oleum spray paint to apply the new color.
