It charges with USB C, or you can use batteries to power it. The directions came with it which was easy to understand but it would have been nice to use black ink rather than the light gray ink which makes it difficult to read.After reading the instructions, I now know what each icon of the half circle means on the base of the lamp. One is the tone for warm color and the other looks whiter output. And you can adjust the brightness with the up and down arrow. I like the convenient power button in front which you feel with a click.You must remember that there are power buttons on the bottom, which is ON, OFF and SOS. The SOS button (on the bottom) lights up the bulb red and flashes, which could come in handy if you were out camping. The light seems to stay on long too. There is a handle attached so you can hang it up on a tree branch or on a hook and if you did that, it illuminates a bigger area with this light. It also has a nice weight to it, not too heavy but feels very sturdy on the table.

The media could not be loaded. This light is totally worth it! It has the option to change the brightness and can dim all the way down to a very soft light. It can also change from a variability of a warm light to a bright cool toned light. You can lock the settings so little ones can’t mess with it. There is a little light sensor that shines a little dot on the base when it gets dark so you can see where the light is to be able to turn it on. This is located in the back of the base so it won’t be disturbing or in your eyes if you are sensitive to light when you sleep. The light can be used with or without the charging cord, therefore, using it as a corded light or a portable charged light. It has a handle tucked into the bottom to carry it and it will hang upside down to illuminate your path or hang it as a light above your head like in a tent. There is a SOS switch that will flash red SOS patterns if you are in need of help.The battery is completely replaceable if ever the rechargeable battery dies out. You just unscrew the compartment and replace the battery. This is a cool feature as many rechargeable items just have to get thrown out when the batteries no longer can be recharged. I love the design of the light. It looks very modern and because of the round design the light shines equally all around instead of in a directional pattern. It also has a small footprint so you don’t need a lot of space to use this. This is truly a very versatile light and I am very happy I got this.
