Husband has swelling in his lower legs which we have combatted by elevating his feet when sitting or sleeping. These socks were a try after some other gripper socks (help him walk without slipping) which were so tight they squeezed his ankles and made the leg part swell out. These socks don't do that. They are gripper socks, but the top part of the sock has enough elastic that it stays up but doesn't squeeze too tightly. We are very happy with them. Wish they had blue, green, other colors than black and white. Very satisfied.

I wasn't sure what to expect- but we had been buying the blue "hospital" sasfety tread socks and they have totally changed them- so I needed to find something different. I bought these and I am very pleased with them. My husband is ill and needs a very wide sock top that doesn't bind, and these are perfect. I do wash in my machine but line dry so they don't shrink. They come out great. Great overall stretch to get on the food and over the calf.
