It is very easy to setup. I had everything connected and working in a few minutes. Works great for music, maps , calls.

When the product works it works well but it is not dependable at all

Works when it wants to, it disconnects like every other day. And have to forget device reconnect then sometimes forget device and reconnect again. And if you go on long road trips you have to unlock your phone every 75 or so miles.

I like the product, but sometimes it’s hard to connect to the vehicle

The product is awesome and really small,easy to connected and set up, so I can give my kids my phone ,they can have their lovely music.

This carplay adapater works well in my own car and I'm taking it on the road later this week to a vacation destination with a rental car to ensure I can access apps on my phone that might want for my car (gps, music, books on tape, etc.). Easy to use, fits right into the USB port on my dashboard, easy to connect and so far find it very helpful when I drive. If I need to update experience using it in another car I will, but I anticipate success.

Can hot after about an hour of being plugged in

Connects the first time but when you get back in your car you have to go to bluetooth settings, FORGET device, select the device again, re-pair with the device, then start using again. Every time. Takes about 3minutes to do this every time you get in your car. 2- stars because technically it works after that long setup process but what is the point of this device? I thought it was to be convenient. That is not convenience.
