OttLite Renew LED Desk Lamp with 2.1A USB Charging Port and LCD Screen That Displays Date, Time and Temperature, Black

This lamp is to be used as a desk lamp and I really like the features and styling. However, when the lamp arrived the calendar is by default set to 2004 and as a consequence the day of month is out of sync with actual day of week. Take note the manufacturer does not anywhere in the owners manual mention this and how to correct it. I called OttLite and received instructions how to fix it. I mentioned this to the service representative and she admitted it is an oversight.

Serves all kinds of purposes. I purchased specifically for a small end table. I have a couch and loveseat. Two small end tables on either end and a large square in the middle. I purchased two beautiful lamps for either end of the couch and the small end table where I have this bronze light backing our incoming garage door. Horrible with any kind of shade. Bought this as an unobtrusive light for my husband to read. Fits in beautifully. He loves the time and temp. Maneuverable. Great purchase. Can be used on a desk and elsewhere. Perfect!

Fourth Ottlite we own. Excellent desk light. Noticed in other reviews the question whether could turn off the data on the lamp.. The answer is yes. There are buttons on the back of the pedestal.. One button with an X on it is the on/off switch for the data. Very pleased with the lamp.

I like this light for the small footprint in my work area and the adjustable light brightness. I do not like that the instructions are definitely not at all clear on how to set up the date, time, temperature, etc. on the front panel. Therefore I do not like having paid for features that are unusable for me. Apparently this model is too new for anyone to have posted a How-to tutorial video. Also the manufacturers e-mail says to contact them but then they have a notation that e-mail & link not provided. Not helpful.

I LOVE THIS! I can read or crochet, put on make up in my recliner and adjust the light to what I want without distracting everyone else in the living room. The time, date, temp show up really well and it is adjustable. The added feature of a USB port is a real plus and surprise. I have several people who want to buy one now!

I really wanted to like this lamp. But I couldn’t for a couple reasons. First, the display is way too eye-catching. The size and brightness make it easy to read, but also tacky unless it’s a bedroom lamp. Second, I was surprised to read a warning in the instructions that after a couple hours of use the display will be hot to the touch and could cause burns! That is not safe and I didn’t want to risk anyone getting burned.

Nice looking and lots of information. But the display is so bright it lights up the entire bedroom. It has a dimmer switch but I can't tell the difference. Had to move it out of my bedroom. I had bought a less expensive light just like it without the leather trim, a different company, and it dims at night.
