I have multiple docks and did not need another full sized one. This cable allowed me to connect my switch to my capture card at my desk without taking up a lot of space and It functions exactly how any other dock does, except without usb-a connectors. If your dock has been lost, stolen, destroyed, or whatever else, this cheap alternative will have you gaming on your screen in no time for a fraction of the cost of a nintendo brand dock. It is also fantastic for portability of you do not own a massive case to carry your entire switch setup and simply want a cable to have on the go.[RATING]5/5For the price, this cable functions phenomenally. This is a great product, just having a cable to connect to switch, charger and TV. I learned quickly I wanted to move the console from TV to TV but was a hassle to keep disconnecting the hub.This is exactly what I wanted for portability or just a second permanent setup. You will have to buya usb-c switch charger. I bought mine for 10 bucks on amazon. This really should be bundled with a power supply, but the description says to use your original charger, which was not an option for me.This same cable is sold by other sellers as the seller just puts their name on it, but it comes from a generic china company for reselling. So look for the lowest price.

I’ve had difficulties connecting my switch to mounted docks so, finding a straight cord connector was AMAZING! I’m finally able to connect my switch to my tv. So, if you’re having the same problem as me with your switch definitely consisted buying this product!

I really appreciate the Switch's portability. In fact, it's one of my favorite things about it.But there are times when I'm on the go, and I'd like to be able to play it in docked rather than handheld mode. Unfortunately, I haven't had an easy way to do this. The dock that comes with the Switch is cumbersome and takes up too much space.That's where this little portable dock comes in.It's basically just a normal sized HDMI cable. The only difference is that it has a power cord connection on the part of the cord that plugs into the TV. So, installing it is as simple as plugging it into your TV, plugging your Switch AC adapter into it, and then plugging it into your Switch. Turn on your TV and you're ready to go.So far, I've noticed zero difference between the picture and audio that comes through this and what comes through my official Nintendo dock.The only difference I've found is that with my official Nintendo dock, my TV will automatically turn on and change to the correct HDMI input when I turn my Switch on. With this dock, I have to manually turn my TV on and navigate to the right input. But that's a minor issue that may be able to be fixed. I'm not sure since it's not a deal breaker for me.You'll also want to make sure that your Switch is on something stable (and all cords are out of the walkway) since there's nothing holding it in.Basically, this dock works just like the normal Switch dock (including charging your Switch). The only difference is that it's like carrying an HDMI cord with you instead of a big plastic block.It is worth noting that you will need to bring your power cord too, since the dock requires that to be plugged in in order to function.If you've been looking for an affordable, convenient Switch dock, this is it.

Product does not work as described, I purchased this item so my daughter could play on the TVwith others as well as by herself, but because it does not recognize the console I can not use it. Thankfully it was only $15
