Coffee Substitute Soluble Dark Roast

I like this coffee substitute. The aroma is great, makes me think I’m drinking coffee. The way I have found to make this is to heat up water to boiling, pour in cup or container if making more than one cup and let it cool a minute or so, then put in a teaspoon or more for each cup. I experimented and found my liking and everyone is different. Stir to dissolve, haven’t had any problems clumping. I like it with half&half and honey or brown sugar, now no caffeine jitters for me!

I did not dislike anything about this product if you want to do away with drinking regular coffee. I am about to order 2 more of this product when I just try the first jar 3 weeks ago and it's the best. After the first to three days the taste gets better. I try to do everything healthy so I don't put sugar in this product and it's just fine. I am 60 years old believe me or not but trust this old head.

Dissolves well into hot water or hot milk. Does not require sweetner since it contains beetroot. It's not as acidic as coffee therefore it's easier on the stomach. The flavor is very mild so it mixes well with any spices (I mix it in hot milk with honey and cinnamon). It's an easy alternative to instant coffee if you don't want coffee, caffeine or tea, but just a warm soothing drink that's gentle on the stomach.

I tried the regular flavor and the bold. To me the bold is much better. I am using this as an alternative to my afternoon “iced” coffees to reduce caffeine and cannot tell a difference when using the Bold. (I plan ahead—dissolved with hot water and then wait until cooler; poor over ice and add whatever creamer as desired as normal.) WOW! What a great treat! Normally drink McCafe Premium Roast-Medium or very strongly brewed black tea— if that helps with comparison flavors.

If you're a hard core super strong need the buzz Starbucks coffee lover this won't do it for you. I used to drink various Trader Joe's coffee blends and really enjoyed them. For me it was mostly for taste and warmth. With Caf-Lib I get both. I put a heaping tsp into a 16 oz mug with some cinnamon and agave. I think it actually tastes better than coffee but everyone's different. Enjoy!

Love the product but seller provides poor service

I bought a variety of coffee substitutes to try and this one tastes most like real coffee. I love coffee but can't drink it any more, so i was kind of desperate to get something close. I tried the dandelion stuff and, despite good reviews, it didn't taste like coffee to me. This product is more like instant coffee in both taste and use. Honestly, it's not great (I was very much a coffee snob) but it's the best one of the ones I tried.
