I purchased this as i wanted an outdoor camera with a good image quality and I already had eufy cameras at home. The reviews for this camera were good and I haven't been disappointed. Installation was very straightforward, needing only a few screws to attach the bracket to the wall. It comes with a solar panel, which so far has maintained the battery at 100%. It will be interesting to see how it works when there's less sunlight in the winter. The solar panel can be mounted separately and it comes with an extension cable that allows it to be mounted away from the camera. Connecting to the house wifi was simple and the signal strength is strong, just be careful if you have too many solid walls between the camera and your wireless access point, as this can reduce the wifi signal. I connected mine to the homebase 2, which gave additional storage space for video footage. The quality of the camera image is really good. It has AI tracking which will follow people moving around, which was a bonus. It also has infrared for nighttime,so the picture is good at night too. I didn't realise, it also has a spotlight, which can turn on when it senses motion. This is a good deterant to anyone who shouldn't be around your house, but also good to be able to see if you are outside in the dark. My only gripe isn't with the camera,it is the eufy software, which can be hit and miss when trying to download or view footage from the cameras. Sometimes it connects really quickly but other times it will just hang for ages and then fail to view it. I also don't understand why it doesn't record footage if you are live viewing thorugh the camera. I didn't realise this the first time it happened and I thought I could go back a view it but it wasn't there. If you want to keep anyhting you are live viewing, you need to manually hit record in the app, which then saves it to your device, not the camera or homebase. I have ring cameras as well and they store a copy of the video while livestreaming, but that comes at a monthly cost, which the eufy doesnt have. A small gripe but something to be aware of. Overall, so far I'm very impressed. Easy set up, good features and great picture quality. Time will tell whether the solar panel keeps the battery fully charged all year round.

This is an excellent product that I would recommend to anyone looking for a security camera. Detection is very good over a wide angle and distance and the video stored is clear and sharp even at night . It can take black and white images at night without needing to use the built in light which saves on battery use. The built in solar panel works well to top up the battery even in low light in the winter . The app was simple to install and made it easy to set up. There are options to select which notifications to receive (any motion, human etc) and the app allows you to connect and review live like a doorbell camera or record and review later. There is a live microphone link so you can communicate in real time with a courier etc if needed but I haven’t tried that yet. The camera automatically tracks and swivels as someone walks up and past it or you can set preferred views that zoom in to specific areas you want to monitor. Built in storage seems sufficient to store recorded video but it can be linked to a hub device if you want to store more video for longer. All in all it just works really well. I will probably buy a second one to monitor the back of the house as well . No hesitation in recommending this.

I’ve been gradually building out a Eufy security system around our home and this camera has been one of the best additions so far. Installation was straightforward, and getting it connected through the Eufy app was quick and hassle-free. The app itself is excellent – easy to navigate, responsive, and packed with useful features without feeling overly complicated. The picture quality is superb. During the day the image is sharp and detailed, and the dual-camera setup gives a much better view of the surrounding area than a standard fixed camera. The pan and tilt functionality works smoothly and makes it easy to cover a large area without worrying about blind spots. One feature I’ve found particularly useful is the activity zone and area mapping. It allows you to fine-tune exactly where motion is detected, which has significantly reduced unnecessary notifications from passing traffic and other irrelevant movement. The solar panel has also been surprisingly effective. Since installation the camera has remained fully charged without any need for manual charging, even with regular activity throughout the day. It’s very much a fit-and-forget solution. Integration with Alexa has been excellent too. I can view the camera feed directly on our Echo Show 11, which is incredibly useful when checking who’s outside without reaching for my phone. The fact there’s no ongoing subscription fee is another major advantage. Overall, this is a fantastic security camera that delivers excellent image quality, reliable performance and great smart home integration. Very impressed with both the camera and the wider Eufy ecosystem.

I bought 2 of these to replace my ring cameras after I saw some reviews with comparisons and all I can say is, wow! The picture is almost crystal clear, can easily see number plates and peoples faces even at a distance! I was surprised to find it even has a spotlight! It is always constantly charged because of the solar panel too. I found it so funny at first how the camera moves to follow you and it always keeps you in the middle of the picture. No subscription fee and built in storage is also a massive plus! Even if the WiFi drops, we still get our recordings! It has lost a star though because connecting them to our WiFi was an issue, I had to download a previous version of the app to get it to connect but since then it's been flawless. Also, the picture at night is a bit blurry when the camera follows the person.

Bought this after being impressed with their SoloCam S220. While the S220 is good, unfortunately, the position it was in didn't make it easy to access for top-up charging. The S340 has a larger, solar panel, which should allow me to 'fit and forget'. So far, so good. The picture quality is great, and using the night vision the subjects are clear and tracking is consistent. One slight issue was the connection between the solar panel and the camera unit. When I initially fitted, is seemed to have been inserted correctly, but I noticed over 2 days it wasn't charging. No suprise, as it has been xtremely cloudy. But I then discovered in the app the guided installation instructions has an option to test the connectivity of the solar panel. This confirmed it was disconnected. When I pushed the connection back in again, I didn't notice it moving at all, but the app said otherwise. Apart from this, this is all good. Only took 5 minutes to fit.

Good points Basic functionality is good, image quality, battery life and solar panel all good, 8Gb storage seems to be enough. Problems I encountered (bear in mind maybe my unit was faulty?) I purchased this camera as I have had my car broken into on several of occasions recently, and also we have a problem with fly tipping outside our house so was hoping to capture footage and identify who was the person doing this but disappointingly, this camera does not appear work as expected or described or implied in the description. 1 - AI Tracking gets stuck I set an activity zone up to track and follow anyone who approaches my car parked outside my house, but the camera often fails to records or is slow to actually start recording when anyone is within the activity zone and other times, that is on the odd occasion it did capture anything, it only ever captured the back of the persons heads as they walk away from my car, also the camera will track them until it has reached its furthest position right or left at which point it sometimes gets stuck there for a few minutes, which means it’s no longer monitoring my car. Maybe this is a hardware fault with my camera? Update: I have also noticed that once it has tracked someone it then ignores the activity zone and just locks on to anyone in view and tracks them until there are no more people to track, then at some point it will return to monitoring the activity zone I also tried to set up a single zone for vehicles only, to cover cars going in and out of the road opposite my house (T junction) as people appear to ignore the no entry sign, but what I found was the camera had difficulty identifying a car coming towards you, but when the car turned left out of the turning the camera then tracked it until it went out of sight, but then got stuck at full panned to the right position as it started to track every car traveling along that road even though that road is not included in the activity zone. It is as though once the tracking feature is activated it completely forgets about the activity zone and tracks all cars until there are none, then at some point it returns to it’s preset position and the activity zone then takes priority. 3 - Laggy to start capturing I am trying to identify who is fly tipping outside my house so have set up a human only activity zone covering the area where the household rubbish/items are being left but the camera either doesn’t record anything or is so slow to actually start capturing that by the time it starts recording the person has gone. 4 - Inconsistent Seems to work when it feels like it. I set up an activity zone around my car outside my house with human tracking on, then as a test I attempted to enter my car and take something from the glovebox 6 times, on three occasions it did not record anything at all and on one occasion it recorded me walking away from the car (ie the back of my head) although it did at least track me walking away from the car. 5 - Activity zones do not work as described. Not matter where I set the activity zone it always captures people outside the activity zone if they are closer to the camera than the activity zone. Other times it will just randomly decide to track someone no matter where they are. With the activity zone and human tracking set up around my car it was capturing people outside the activity zone but they were nowhere near my car. 6 - No 24/7 constant capture ability I thought that maybe a solution for me at least might be to forget the fancy activity zone and tracking features as they don’t work properly (for me at least) and just have the camera set to constant capture but there doesn’t appear to be any option for for constant capture with the S340. Some have suggested that this feature only works if usb powered, but I can confirmed that this feature is definately not available even when usb powered by cable rather than solar panel. 7 - File Management is very poor (see photo) Trying to find an event is painfully time consuming and frustrating. The recorded events are displayed a thumbnails only, with no option to switch to list view. The thumbnails are too small to identify what is going on but so large that they to take up too much space on screen resulting in only displaying about 5 thumbnails per screen on my iPad, then when you scroll more than two pages there is a delay whilst it loads the next two pages worth of large thumbnails, this is ridicules. I also tried to install the the app on my MacBook M1 but there is no app for that device, (although the phone version of the app did install on the MacBook but it is awful and has the same thumbnail only/painful file management problem) 8 - It would be very easy to steal The camera just clips onto the wall bracket for easy removal, very easy removal!

Très bonne caméra de sécurité eufy SoloCam S340, pratique et performante pour surveiller efficacement une maison ou un jardin. L’image est nette et détaillée, même en vision nocturne, ce qui permet une surveillance fiable à toute heure. Le système solaire est un vrai plus, car il permet une autonomie quasi permanente sans avoir à recharger la batterie. L’installation est simple et rapide via l’application, qui est intuitive et facile à utiliser. La détection de mouvement fonctionne bien et les alertes sont réactives. Le double objectif offre une bonne couverture de la zone surveillée. Produit fiable, moderne et très pratique au quotidien. Excellent rapport qualité/prix, je recommande sans hésiter 👍
