Q: I cannot get the registration to work with these mats. How do I do it?

If you are using a Silhouette, instead of aligning exactly to the corner of the blue section on the mat, try allowing a just a little to hang over the left margin. My machine picks up the registration square better that way.

Yes, can be used with silhouette curio.

Q: Can these mats be cut in half with a craft knife, scissors or trimmer?

You could cut them half but not sure if it would work in the Silhouette afterwards. The mat would have to be the exact size of the available mat options on your machine and registration marks, if used, would not match. This is just my opinion, I have NO prior experience attempting this.
