I was a bit skeptical when I ordered this net due to a few bad reviews. I am well satisfied with it. This net is well designed and I've landed 14 pound fish with it. I can recommend it . Months later : Over the course of being stored in the folded position for about 6 months it seems the net had actually shrank a bit on the hoop making for a very snug fit when opened . The screws that hold the hoop bows into their base have rusted , clearly not stainless steel . It still seems sturdy , but is not the easy , fast opened net it once was .

This net folds up, makes transport easy. Also, all components are very sturdy.

I chose this net for its size capacity to be able to net Lake Ontario salmon and trout. It performs very well with a good reach off the back of the boat, and I really like the way it folds up to bee out of the way on a small boat. Overall I would recommend this net.

Seems sturdy, has netted some nice size fish. Very large opening, but folds to a compact size for transport. Great bet for the money.

Needed a large sized net that didnt take up a lot of room. This is perfect.

I only used this net a few times and the little slide switch that is used to unlock the net and fold it in half is already loose and malfunctioning. I can probably just make it permanently open and still use it, but it is no longer easy to store. Should have just bought a good one that does not fold.

A very heavy duty landing net that can work well for most big game fish and can be easily transported on any fly-in fishing trip!

Need better directions. Does not indicate turn the handle to tighten. Good for jig fishing I the river. But handle not long enough for trolling in lake for walleyes if netting back of the motor.

I was looking for a foldable net for my 14' G3 jon boat that I could use for salmon fishing (I target smaller salmon like coho, sockeye) and easily store it. I like the functionality of this net but am concerned about the plastic locking pin that holds the folding basket in place. If it breaks, I have no idea how to replace/modify it. For the price-point on this net, I am disappointed with the quality of this locking pin.I will up-date this review after a season of fishing with it to provide feedback on the quality of the net after it has landed more fish. The rubberized net mesh seems decent and is deep enough for a larger fish to be held secure while lifting the fish out of the river.
