The fairy arrived broken, with one wing snapped off. Tried to glue it back on, but it didn't last. This is second. Daughter lived first one, but these things are made of the cheapest materials. Played with it once and that's s it! Even after watching the video. Do not buy this fairy. But it arrived on time

Fun, well made, and well thought out toy.
My 7 and 5 year old can not get enough of this magical fairy. She takes a minute to get used to and use correctly, but then it is simple. I suggest watching some videos first. After learning how to use her, we accidentally shot her toward the wall. When she bounced to the floor a piece broke off affecting her flying. We were going to contact the company, but my husband was able to fix it, which pleased my daughter as Santa had that made with magic and there was no store to call in her mind. There are a few pieces that create the flying effect. It's bound to happen eventually so do research how its used as the directions do not tell too much. It is pretty sturdy though, especially for the angles at which we accidentally sent it into the wall, repeatedly. It is an outstanding toy. it continues to rise up when it senses anything under it. if it actually touches a surface under it, it will still rise, but the batteries need recharging. It does require frequent charging, but worth it and I taught the children how to recharge it themselves, which is an easy plug in to wall cord experience.

I cannot begin to describe just how incredibly successful this little fairy was with our 3 year old niece. All the other uncles just slouched back in defeat and looked wistfully at their giant, completely disregarded playsets and Barbie houses because this was THE toy that made her night. She laughed and ran and got hoarse screaming, "Fly! Fly!"And yes, it's a short-term toy. Its expected lifespan is probably counted in days or hours. It crashed against every hard surface it could reach and eventually wings started to break off. But that just gave us the chance to get her the exact same thing the following year with the exact same monumental success. (her little 8 month old brother was terrified, though).

Violent flyer doomed for destruction :(
My daughter loved it while it lasted. She received it on Christmas Day and it was out of commission by New Year's Day. The toy would fly about nicely but would crash violently. This resulted in the breaking of the clips that hold her wings in place. We were able to move the wings around to unbroken clips but soon those clips broke too. If you're ok with having a toy for a short amount of time then its worth it but other than that, this is a disposable toy with a short life span.

Breaks Easily
At first this flying fairy appeared to be the perfect present for my daughter. Being rechargeable was great and it held a charge for a decent amount of time. However, the plastic felt brittle and the on/off switch was flimsy. During use, the fairy wasn't very easy to keep in the air. It would launch in the air and hover above your hand for a few seconds before careening out of control and crashing. My daughter found it nearly impossible to control for more than a few seconds. As an adult, it took a lot of concentration and hand-eye coordination to keep it flying. After a few crashes onto a carpeted floor the on/off switch stopped working rendering the toy inoperative. I sent it back for a refund.

This Toy Makes Us Happy!
A totally fun toy to play with! My 7-year-old and I love playing with this together. You set the fairy up in the stand, turn off then on, then a few seconds later, she lifts off. You cup your hands underneath her to maintain air current to keep her flying. The higher you raise your hands, the higher she goes ... even to the ceiling. This doll creates lots of laughter and fun. A great buy!PS - You'll need to charge the doll before playing with her. She comes with a USB cable that can be plugged into your computer, or you can use a plug adapter.

Dangerous toy
Bought as a gift for my granddaughter but when she tried to charge it up the first time she got an electrical shock. Needless to say she was very disappointed. Furthermore it never did work as advertised. We threw it in the trash. Don't buy it.

Not Worth Time or Money
Very disappointed in this and the unicorn. It is a battery hog and according to instructions have very short period of fly time. Bought two Princesses and two Unicorns and don't have all the reports back in, but the one I set up causes me to believe there will be very little play time. Looks great and the video looks great, but remember it is a manufacturer video. My recommendation is to keep looking. It isn't that great.

Broke in the first use. Very disappointed. This was for a nostalgic Christmas gift for an adult. Lucky wasn't for a child, very dangerous and flew everywhere before crashing and breaking.

WATCH YOUTUBE VIDEOS BEFORE YOUR FIRST ATTEMPT!
Do a search for "how to fly the fairy toy" and you will find several YouTube videos. After viewing them you will see that you have to have calm, gentle, slow hand movements to safely fly the toy. Over-reacting and trying to control it with rapid movements will send her flying and crashing every time. This is a fun toy for the 7 year old and her parents. The 4 year old is content to stay back and watch. It is a little intense at first.

What fun!
I purchased this for my niece for Christmas, and her brothers ended up loving it too! The whole family got into playing with this because it is really mesmerizing the way it rises and lowers with your hand. We had a fantastic day of fun playing with it.

Really coo toy. Requires mom and dad to set up.
Such a cool toy. It mom and dad have to set it up for 6 year old and get it going. She can keep it up after we get it going in the air. Battery seems not to work or charge as well after a while so we put it up. It's a novelty. But kind of impractical as an everyday toy. So weigh the cost against potential play time.
