Every office at work has, or is, getting these now
I've been purchasing these for our offices, because we're married to MS Teams for our chat and meeting communications. No Slack here, unfortunately, but I digress. This device is a true plug and play. It's integrated with Teams out of the box and will do nice things like mute my music and switch to meeting speaker/mic when someone either calls me through Teams or I join a meeting.Mic sensitivity is pretty good. I think it's rated for a 7 foot radius, or something like that, and it seems to be accurate, based on some conference room use. It's possible to tether a couple of them together, also, in order to expand the radius.Sound quality is exceptional for what these devices are. Obviously no Sonos/Bose type audio, but my music sounds pretty okay on this.I've purchased around a dozen of these, and we did have one dud with a bad mic. Could be a fluke, but just something to note. 1/12 RMA rate would be upsetting to some, but it's also a small sample size.Either way, everyone here loves them - no more goofy headsets.

Worked great for 11 person call
I recently took this with me to an off-site meeting where there were 11 of us gathered around a large conference table (I think it fits 20 normally). This one device gave us all the ability to interact during a co ference call with no audio issues. Great little device.

Will not turn on - 2 years old.
The Poly40 worked well until one day it went off and could not be turned back on. Tech support ( now part of HP) response was - out of warranty sorry. If you do not mind spending $250-300 for something that fails after 2 years go ahead. I will no buy again, and I will recommend to buy from any other manufacturer.

Good product, but wow are these things expensive!
I needed something for remote/makeshift conference room situation with about 4-8 people at a table. The laptop mic/speaker situation was really limiting our ability to get good communication. This does take care of that problem, but it's at a big cost. The incoming audio is better than laptop speakers but probably about the same as any run of the mill bluetooth speak. The mic quality is good enough to pick up everyone in the room, but probably not good enough to sound like a dedicated microphone, even when you're nice and close to it.My favorite parts are the light but very sturdy build quality, the assortment of touch pad buttons for volume, hanging up, etc. and the fact you can wrap the chord around the unit for easy storage. My least favorite part was the bluetooth unit I paid extra for. Don't get me wrong, it works, but it's a pretty cheap little dongle that's super easy to lose since there is no dedicated place to store it on the unit.

Great Battery Life
I've been using the Poly speakerphone and I'm impressed. The sound quality is good, making calls and meetings a breeze. The battery life is excellent, lasting through couple of days. It also connects to the BT receiver almost instantly. Overall, I'm very pleased. If you need a reliable speakerphone with great battery life, I highly recommend this one.

Power Off announcement is loud, annoying, and currently no way to turn it off.
Whenever the Poly Sync is disconnected, it announces "Power Off" in a VERY loud voice. The desktop app currently has no way to turn this off. In support forums, I see a lot of frustrated users with the same problem, but no solutions that actually work, yet.

Overall great. Works awesome after customer care helped me through the setup.
I am unable to figure out why the mute/unmute does not work with zoom. Not much room to figure out yourself. Need to call customer serviceUpdate: Called the customer service, the support personnel walked me through setting up the BT600 USB. Had to remove Bluetooth pairing. Press the small white button on the BT600USB device while the Poly Sync 40 was waiting for pairing. It works perfect now.

Sounds Good - Needs local Bluetooth toggle.
I'm upgrading from a Jabra Speak 510.It's just a bit louder then the Jabra at full volume, and has more base.Seems like a moderate improvement.A big feature of this device for me is the USB connection to the work computer while also having a Bluetooth connection to the phone. During Zoom meetings I disable the BT to avoid phone interruptions. So I can toggle Bluetooth from the PolyLens PC app, but it would be massively more convenient to be able to do it from the Poly (can't install software on my work pc). Disappointing that the feature is not there. Why not make a double tap of the bluetooth to be a toggle? Looks like the last firmware was September 2021 (v402.2759) so I probably shouldn't get my hopes up.
