Did Not receive the correct knife ****Update**** Reordered and received correct knife today!
Well I was hesitant as there was no reviews but I had high hopes of scoring a 1095 full tang beater knife on the cheap. Instead I received a large stainless Bowie knife in place of this advertised smaller full tang carbon steel knife. So it looks as though I'll still be the first to review it after all.I was sent:https://www.amazon.com/Sheath-Dundee-Mirror-Polished-Stainless/dp/B09TL5R3Q2/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8&th=1To make matters worse, the handle was broke out of the box upon arrival !!! Had it not been broke I'd probably just keep it for a display knife (because its so poorly constructed it would never pass muster for a work knife) but its getting returned with the huge chunk out of the handle.Ironically the label taped to this knife box is the number of the knife I originally ordered/wanted. Win some/Lose some when you gamble with cheap knives. :(****UPDATE**** I reordered knife and got the correct one today. I have updated star rating to a solid 4 only because the sheath is bare minimum and very loose fit on my example. I'm not even sure its real leather but I'm keeping the price in mind!First impressions were WOW this is a pretty nice knife for $23.00 !!It came wrapped in oil soaked cellophane which was a nice touch for the claimed 1095 steel that can rust easily. I have no reason to doubt it isn't 1095 but you never really know for sure. There isn't the first roll stamp or laser etch on this blade. It also came razor sharp out of the box and so did other edges of the steel. Mainly all edges between forward of wood scales and where blade cutting edge begins to include finger choil and top "ramp" where thumb would go choking up on blade. No problems though (again $23). 15 minutes with Dremel and I had everything smooth and de-horned! The spine also came nice and sharp 90 deg for ferro rod striking I might add. Tip was sharp and pointy and appears to be beefy. My knife has a small defect on forward edge of left scale. Tiny chip off leading edge and small gap up front where it wasn't perfectly flat and there is a tight knot there on that scale.(See pic) I can live with it though as long as scale integrity holds up.The rear left and right scale edges (behind lanyard hole) where also sharp and needed 5 minutes of filing.Other than that the wood scales are radiused nicely and have a comfortable hold overall, albeit they're a little on the narrow side for my big hands (wear a 2xl glove). Some palm swell would have been great on these but again overall smooth and comfortable and long enough too for big hands!I'm not crazy about the funky ramp thingy and back cut radius. I assume that's for ferro rod striking but I would have rather they kept the spine straight up to the "peak" as there is plenty of sharp spine for striking fire steel. The natural steel finish is kinda neat on the top portion or the blade. I have a machete like that and don't mind it but wouldn't want every blade I own having it. Blade is a nice thick .200".I batoned some small seasoned and green hardwoods and it powered through no problem with absolutely no edge damage or edge rolling. Shaved/ whittled and made some feather sticks. I really like this blade and I think it will hold up well. I would definitely recommend it at the price point and think its a bargain for a full tang1095 steel fixed blade unique knife !!!OK I've rambled on enough! Check out all my pics and hope you enjoyed my mini review.

Questionable origins..
As with most "high carbon" and " hardened to a Rockwell of magic" knives, it may very well be high carbon steel. The hardness is simply not there. Mild carbon untempered steel is what you get.

High value
This knife is the ideal “truck” knife. Rugged, takes an edge easily enough. For the money this knife (Bowie) is a bargain!

Love it. Arrived dull, need to sharpen. Also need to keep oiled
This arrived pretty dull, I don't know if that's intentional but I will sharpen according to my personal needs. The tip is sharp, though, yet thick enough it doesn't look like there is any risk of it chipping under normal use. I see no blemishes or irregularities on the blade. This is also prone to rust, so you need to keep oiled, and don't leave it outside (or in a shed, etc).Otherwise I love this knife. It's got a full tang, which is thick and durable. Don't forget to oil the whole tang. The handle is wood, and keep in mind all wood handled knives can swell if left in moisture. These rivets look a bit small to me, I wish they were thicker. It comes with a full leather sheath with a belt clip, though it's kindof loose and not a snug fit.I like the weight and balance of it. It's not perfect, and it's not a high end knife. But it's a solid mid grade knife that looks great, is functional, and I'm pretty impressed how inexpensive it is.

Great knife for the money
I liked the quality of the sheath compared to some other entry level knives. The knife itself is really sharp and shaved paper smoothly and easily, better than most other similarly priced knives I've tried. The knife came well coated in oil and no rust with a good edge, intriguing finish on the non cutting part of the blade, and a really comfortable wood handle. Though it's heavy as expected it feels good in the hand.
