Easy DIY Sprinkler System!
The Rain Bird SWDMSPKIT is a simple but really useful kit if you’re working on sprinkler valves or irrigation wiring. The waterproof wire connectors are grease-filled, which helps seal out moisture—something that’s important since these connections usually sit underground in valve boxes. Installation is straightforward: strip the wires, insert them, and twist the cap until it’s secure. The connectors hold the wires tightly and feel much more reliable than basic wire nuts with electrical tape. One thing I like is that this kit keeps the wiring neat and protected, which should help prevent corrosion or connection failures over time. It’s not a flashy product, but it does exactly what it’s supposed to do and makes irrigation repairs a lot cleaner. Overall, this is a practical kit for homeowners or DIYers maintaining a sprinkler system. If you’re replacing valves or fixing zone wiring, it’s definitely worth having on hand.

Really great for small watering needs!
This was such a great deal! I was about to buy the go to plain old soaked hoses and came across this little beauty of a kit. The price was right so I ordered it and gave it a try. I had just planted a new row of dappled willows for a hedge and they needed watered everyday and I was sick of going outside every night and doing it by hand. This was the awesome answer to my problems . I did end up loving it so much that I got another kit and the extension kit and plan on using it all over my whole yard. Great buy! I plan on putting it away for winter. We will see how well this holds up. The instructions are not great but I found lots of videos online that helped.

Great starter kit, but warning
I have two of these kits. Very easy to install. Works well. You might need to augment this with additional pieces but this is a great starter. I dropped a star because of the cheap plastic nipple connecting the spike to the pressure relief valve. One of them snapped in half while hand tightening it. Easily replaced with a $2 brass 1/2" nipple, but annoying nonetheless. Update: the nipple on my other unit broke too, this one from the water pressure alone. Of course it was while I was traveling, so half my garden didn't get watered for a week and the other half drowned. Save yourself a lot of headaches and buy the brass nipple from the start.

Great system for creative thinkers
This is a great system if you are the type of person who loves designing and creating your own setup. It's sort of like the erector set for the adult gardner. This comes with a 6 outlet manifold and a stake otherwise I think the Rain Bird DRIPPAILQ Drip Irrigation Repair and Expansion Kit is a better deal. I purchased both and have used most of the material. I currently have two setups The first one is at the corner of the backyard fence where we have several plants (Rhodies, roses, and a new tree). Then about 30 feet down the two fence lines we have several new trees planted. I set the manifold just right of the corner plants. I have two lines that feed the trees running down the fence lines and two more lines that feed the different plants in the corner. It's well over 100 feet of running line because I had to use some of the tubing from the expansion kit. While I mainly use one or two emitters and different gallons per hour depending on size of plant I also used a couple of bubblers. I had to use a few emitters and Ts from the expansion kit as well. It will take a few waterings and testing just to see how well my design is working especially right now with record breaking heat. But that's what I love about this system - you can design and redesign anytime. The second run is for five new trees on about a 30 foot run. The expansion kit comes with a hose adapter that includes a screen. What I used the most was the tubing, of course, but also Ts and emitters. And I had just enough stakes but I will probably need to get more as I expand. Overall this is a great way to water your plants and save water/money during this hot season!

Worked great at first, but riser disconnected and is now next to useless
I installed this and it worked great for a while. I had the same problem with the leaking start/stop valve, so I just removed that and had no leakage problems. However, one day I turned on the spigot and the head connector piece (where it connects the main hose line to the drip splitter) flew out of the holding. It does NOT have any way of securing, it is just a plastic tube shoved into another plastic tube. No threading or any other way of holding it together. The water pressure alone just started shooting it out of its container. Note that I also had a 30psi pressure valve on there so there is no way that this should have been too much pressure. This is a serious design flaw. I've tried Gorilla gluing the pieces together but so far it is very leaky. Would not recommend purchasing this kit.

Great time saver! Saves water too!
Best birthday gift I ever bought myself. Summers here are brutally hot & my 20 flower pots used to require daily watering. Now I just turn on the faucet for an hour or so and don't have to stand outside in the heat & mosquitoes anymore, getting sunburnt! It is a bit fiddly to put together at first, but once you do a couple pots you get the hang of it. Think it through ahead of time, because once you've installed it, the plants have to be in that same place all the time. This also waters slowly & efficiently. No more wasted water running out of the pots. Note: it needs to have a pressure reducer for your faucet before it will work, and it doesn't come with one. However, I found a cheap, two-way faucet diverter at my local big box hardware store with a little thumb switch on each side so I can adjust the amount of water flow to this system and still have a full strength garden hose attached to the other side--no more switching back & forth.

A little time consuming to set up, but wonderful to use!
Edit: Dropped my review to one star, because after two months of once a week use, the plastic connector that joins the metal stake to the pressure reducer and manifold hub broke, and I cannot find a replacement for it without ordering another entire kit. And, of course, it happens three weeks after the return window closed. I love the product, but if I have to buy another kit for a every two months for a $2 plastic connector I will rip it all out and throw it away this fall. Bought this to water my small vegetable garden, because time has become a major issue. I used plastic mulch, and found watering individual plants through holes in the mulch too time consuming, especially as the plants got bigger. I ordered this kit because this is the brand my local home improvement store carries. It took me about two hours to figure out what configuration I wanted; i ended up needing to purchase extra stakes, barbed tees, and emitters. It went together very easily, and most importantly? it works. I can just plug in the hose, turn the water on, and forget it. I am watering about 15 tomatoes and six pepper plants with it. The way I have it set up, I can water quite a bit more without needing to buy extra manifolds. Other notes: it takes a lot of teflon tape to keep the water from leaking out of the manifold, but it will happen. Also once you clip the tubing to the emitters they do not come off easily. I plan on throwing all of the pieces into a bucket this fall and trying to reuse them next spring. I like that you can hook manifolds together with pieces of hosing to go from bed to bed. In my experience, drip rates on the emitters are not equal. I used .5 gal/hour on everything, but some of them drip much faster than others. Doesn't seem to be related to distance from the manifold or anything else I can discern. My plants are still getting plenty of water, just not all at the same rate like I wanted

Contiene piezas muy útiles, pero seguro vas a requerir más aspersores.
Recomiendo que compres más aspersores 360º. Son buenísimos!

Great value
No instructions on how to assemble so if it’s your first kit you will need to do some searching so you don’t waste parts.

Hard to assemble. Takes tweaks to prevent leaks
Great once in place. Takes a fair amount of strength to assemble. Like, more so than seems necessary. Missing plumbing tape. Hose attachment gasket was defective (I had a few spares... This can be replaced if it happens to you). Tends to lose flow when water pressure changes. You have to squeeze it together tighter so it resumes flow. These are all manageable issues.

Missing pieces.
Items were all in sealed bag but all the tee pieces are missing. Guess I won't be installing today.
