2pcs 250V 2.2uF Polypropylene Film Audio Crossover Capacitor

My old Swedish speakers are totally revived. Sounds like taking a blanket off of them, Cliche but true. Buy the same value as original and forget about tweeter upgrade. Caps wear out.

My 20 year old speakers tweeters sound had become almost non existent. After talking with a company that specializes in speaker replacement parts, they said it sounded like the electrolytic capacitor may not be doing what it's supposed to be doing. Suggested i replace with a polypropylene capacitor of the same value. I was a little skeptical since the caps value was still in tolerance. After thinking about it for a few days, and was even looking at replacing the speakers altogether, ordered these and installed. It was like listening to a new set of speakers. Could not believe the difference. I am glad l listened. Saved a lot of money. Took about a half an hour to replace both. And hopefully I get another 20 years listening to these speakers. I purchased the 2.2 uf capacitors for my soft dome tweeter crossovers. These capacitors worked out fine. I measured the capacitance at 2.1 uf and the esr at 1.8 ohms each. So both capacitors were pretty well matched. The tweeters sound clear.

They do their job well.

I tried these in my 1980 Klipsch Heresy type E crossovers. They seem to work very well though I don't know if I hear a big difference from the old original can types that were in there. In any case it was time for them to be replaced.

Just what I need to take bass out of my dashboard speakers. Great buy.

Removed the old aluminum electrolytic capacitors and soldered these in. Sound quality improved significantly!
