Helpful on e-bikes with lots of cables at the front, or if you have curved or bent bars.
Does what it should. I bought this along with the locking handlebar Klickfix fitting system by Rixen Kaul. It has taken me an hour to fix it, but it works. I decided to add this to the fixing as I have a Trek e bike and thought it better not to squash the cables. I bought these along with a Reisenthel bike basket called Lollipop that was a real bargain on Amazon. I love having a front basket, and have been restrained with this bike because the dealer was horrorofied that I should spoil the bike with a basket, and it's great to have one again.Fitting was a little tricky as I said because the instructions are pretty minimal. I watched a great Italian YouTube video that showed how to fit the main fitting, but couldn't find one for this extension. At the end it says 'Then tighten the four black screws in the holding unit (1nm)'. But two of the 4 black screws that hold on the horseshoe clips are hidden inside the joined fittings, and I can't see why it's those anyway as you are told not to over tighten these at the start as they merely hold the bracket snugly to the handlebars, and are not the main supporting mechanism (that is the cable).So I have left that bit out.... Hope it works OK long term.One tip I found online is that if the horseshoe clips don't grip your handlebars snugly (not tight, but snug), then wrap either a piece of old inner tube, or some matt tape around the bars before mounting the clips. I wish I had found that BEFORE I fitted the whole thing!

It was a little tricky to attach this extender (note this is just the extender, you need to buy the klick-fix attachment first), simply as you need to pull through some wires to stop it slipping down - which I reaUsed after my first attempt I hadn't done tightly enough and so the basket kept slipping down onto my front wheel. Once I'd adjusted it, the whole thing has worked a treat - even carrying very heavy loads of food shopping.In summary, a great item at a great price!

A lovely bit of kit which supports my bar bag in a very stable position. Needed to fit my bar bag to butterfly bars. Easy to fit and much easier to use than the original kit. A great purchase. Thank-you.

Gives plenty of clearance for interrupter levers, fits perfectly as you'd expect from Rixen and Kaul and much nicer quality.

Distance adaptor for a handle bar bag
Great bit of kit!! I could not use my handle bar bag without the extension because of other handle bar fittings, brake and gear cables etc.
