Sweet Jesus! K. Bromberg does it again. Colton & Rylee...sigh
Sweet Jesus! I could never get enough of Colton. K. Bromberg has done it again, she's so talented and what a great story she's shared with us, she is so talented. I can't recommend The Driven Trilogy enough, please, please, please read them. You have to read them in order and I promise you will not be sorry. Colton & Rylee are an unbelievable loving, emotional, beautiful couple. Raced, is Bromberg at her brilliance, writing Colton's POV was just as great as I thought it would be, he's so sexy, so funny, I had lots of laugh out loud moments, too many to name. You just have to love Colton, you can't help it and you're not going to want to help it, that's the best part. If I could give Raced and the entire Driven Trilogy a hundred stars I would. It's great hearing dialogue between Becks and Colton that we didn't have in Fueled (the Vegas scene). K. Bromberg is the real deal, I can't wait to read Slow Burn, Haddie and Becks story in February 2015, I do hope we get to see more of Colton and Rylee in there as well, we can never get enough of them. I will re-read Driven, Fueled, Crashed and Raced over and over again because it's that good. Please purchase them ASAP!This is what all authors should do, we all want to know the male's POV, it's refreshing and oh so delicious. I can't wait to start our blog at goodreads on Driven.

I Race You Colton!
I'm not as eloquent as others writing. All I can do is tell you about how much I loved the series, and this was no different. I've read the trilogy about 4 times. Each time, I've come across something I missed. Kristy pretty much has ruined me for any other authors to supersede this series.Raced is no different. Of course we ALL have our "one" scene we want to see on the POV. If that were the case, this would be a novel and rehashing words. I've read other POV's and it's all repetitive. Not Raced. From the moment Rylee fell out of the closet and who Colton THOUGHT she was (THAT was hysterical) to the kids to his relationships with Becks and his dad...this was a well, thought out novella.Kristy put a lot of thought into this, as well as her heart and soul. When you read a series of books that takes you away to the point that you are feeling every little thing the characters feel, you know you have a good book. She has a way of making you feel the characters, want to be with them, have lunch with them!!Raced was a great companion and, of course, you can never get enough of Colton. I can't wait for Slow Burn to come out!! I hope Kristy continues her journey and keeps us busy reading.Like I said, I'm just another reader but, I know when a story takes me away and I can disappear into it for a little while, it's magic. And isn't that what reading is all about??BTW--For those critiquing because it was parts here and there, or in pieces, yes-it's a SHORT story.--READ THE DESCRIPTION. It's a NOVELLA in Colton's POV for ALL 3 BOOKS. if you can't read that, maybe you shouldn't be reading period. I've read it a 2nd time and stand by one of the best series I have ever read!!!

I was excited because I LOVED the first three books
When I purchased this companion, I was excited because I LOVED the first three books. I actually remember finishing the third book and thinking, "Wow. That was so much better than I thought it would be." I was really looking forward to a continuation of Colton's perspective. This companion, however, is a complete let-down. I had to give up after only 40 pages because I simply couldn't continue to put myself through that kind of torture. It's poorly written, and riddled with punctuation errors. The lack of proper punctuation actually hinders the way you read the perspective. It's disorienting to the flow of the story. The writing of Colton's perspective is horrendous. I will never understand why an author assumes that the male perspective is drowned in profanity. I have no idea why an author would choose to write a male perspective with no eloquence. This is not how men think. Yes, Colton is supposed to be arrogant. But does that mean he is incapable of forming a coherent, eloquent thought without the overused profanity? Come on. It was exhausting. This companion actually made me dislike Colton. I mean it was unbearable; although, through no fault of the character.I have the 4th book downloaded, but now I don't know if I'll get to it. I liked how the third book ended, as it was enough closure (for me) for these two to see that they, as a couple, were able to succeed. If you see this companion...keep scrolling...

I RACE Colton
LOVE LOVE LOVE Colton! I was so excited to find out Raced was coming out......I love to read books that have the male POV in addition to the original story so this was right up my alley. I read the Driven trilogy in 2 days and couldn't get enough of it.....and months later I am still in book hangover from the series (which I will read over and over again). I think one of my favorite things as a reader is getting a chance to see/read his thinking about his feelings and opinion that you don't get through the main story......Raced did a great job of letting me see exactly what was going on in Colton's head when I wanted to kill him most for being a total ass and not just claiming what he should have to begin with. I loved knowing that he was fighting it because he had Rylee's best interest at heart and didn't want to hurt her because she meant too much!If you LOVED the Driven series as much as I did, you will love this novella. Know though, Kristy has some commentary explaining a bit before each POV throughout this book to give you a brief intro into the scene, some people apparently did not like that about this book...... to me it was odd at first but I quickly saw why it was needed. This is not a complete rewrite of the whole series.....it takes just some of the key events/scenes from the first 3 books and gives you Colton's view on it.Now......I am off to reread the series again from the beginning because now I am craving more Rylee and Colton again!

A great insight into "The Real Colton Donovan" a great companion novella for fans of The Driven Trilogy
Raced (The Driven Trilogy #4) by K Bromberg4 stars!!!“And I’ve never felt more exposed in my life. Guard down. Heart open. Soul needing. Accepting. Wanting.”As most of you are aware I am a super fan of The Driven Trilogy, I have loved every single word; except maybe the word/person “Tawny!” However, there have been a number of pivotal scenes and intense moments whereby I would have loved to have been inside Colton’s head, just to see what he was really thinking rather than what we the reader, perceived him to be thinking. This novella gives even more depth to Colton Donovan and while you think he is all calm on the exterior this insight reveals that he was anything but and you cannot help but fall in love with him all the more. Are you ready for more Colton Donovan…yes please!!This is NOT a novel, this is a series of scenes throughout the trilogy that were originally written in Rylee’s point of view, turned around so that they are now written in Colton’s. These scenes cover Driven, Fueled and Crashed and as I stated above, some of them were really pivotal to their relationship. From the moment that Rylee and Colton met or fell into each other, you could tell that Colton was a bit knocked back. He was feeling things that he had never felt before, he was confused and he was anxious…we find this out as we went through the series but what did Colton really think when they first met? I think you would be surprised!! It is these little snippets that let us the reader in, into a mind that was scared…scared to love and be loved. We know his back story, we know how screwed his head really is, but his mind set and thought processes that are shown throughout this book are enlightening to say the least. Our ACE was not at all the brave, arrogant, cocky, self-assured person we thought he was, in fact he is…AfraidCircumspectExposed“With temerity and defiance, obstinance and patience, she chipped away at every hard edge of me until there was nothing left but the truths I feared. The bent and broken. The ones buried so g***amn deep I knew they’d push her away.”Throughout this novella, you see all his internal monologues and internal battles, a man struggling with alien feelings and his own struggle in coming to terms with his propensity to love and be loved. Some of these scenes are emotional, you may have the odd errant tear…but once you have that connection to a character you cannot help but feel their pain and Kristy really brought that to the forefront. You also have a scene with Becks that shows their true bromance, what a best friend! The scene with his dad too, heart-breaking, but monumental!“I love you.” The words are out without thought, my hands shaking, the little boy in me hoping he hears them. I immediately hear the hitch of his breath as his whole body freezes. He slowly hangs his head forward, his shoulders shuddering momentarily. He raised his head and nods a couple of times. “And that is my unexpected reward for my scavenger hunt.” His voice is thick with emotion. “I love you too, Son.”For any Driven series fan, this is a must read and one that will only leave you loving and understanding Colton all the more.

Colton!...I Race You!!!
After reading and loving the Driven series I had such a book hangover I wanted more from this wondeful broken couple. They'd been through so much and come out the other side there had to more to read.Of course Kirsty didn't disappoint and gave us some of the most wanted chapters from Colton's point of view.It was interesting to read things through Colton's eyes. Raced covers the "wanted" chapters from all three books and each with a brief description of which chapter and book it's from and why Kirsty has chosen that particular one. This book is inteneded as a companion read to read after the series ends.I hope we get more of Rylee & Colton in the future I'd love to know more about what happens in their lives from the last chapter of Crashed until the epilogue at the end.In the meantime I'm impatiently waiting for Slow Burn Haddie & Becks story as I'm sure Colton & Rylee will hopefully pop up again in there somewhere!

A fab companion novella for fans of The Driven Trilogy,
This book was the perfect companion to the Driven Triology. It answers a lot of unanswered questions and gives us an insight into what Colton was thinking. It shows his vulnerable side too, although he tried to hide it - the conversation between him and his dad was heart-melting; and the banter between him and Becks was a typical bromance. But, it also showed he was a romantic at heart - even though he tried to fight it. If you haven't yet read the triology you must. It will stay with you a long time, and you will join the thousands of us who just can't get enough of Colton and Rylee. Cannot wait for the next installment (the 10 year gap) and then Becks and Haddie. Thanks Kristy Bromberg for giving us Colton and Rylee. It was everything I need and more!!!!!!

A perfect companion to the Driven series
This is not your average male POV story. The feel & style is unique & pure GENIUS!I have laughed out loud & tried not to ugly cry.The journey of Colton & Rylee we see in Driven, Fueled & Crashed is not always what it seems. Not gonna lie here by denying that I STILL. WANT. MORE.However, I don't think we will ever truly have enough of this beautiful, bent not broken man & the feisty woman who has 'tamed' him.I loved the scenes we got of Colton's bromance with Becks. Becks is to Colton, what Haddie is to Rylee.Best friend, party animal, fun loving, 100% got their backs whether they agree with the methods or not.I highly recommend this series that came to strongly recommended to me (kicking myself for sitting on it for so long) I can't wait for Slow Burn & Sweet Ache.
