A great budget purifier with AUTO feature!
Having an AQI sensor with an auto mode is pretty rare for purifiers at this price range. BlueAir is really cool for creating something inexpensive to be a set it and forget. I’ve tested and tried many different air purifiers and while I have a favorite already, this one really deserves its praises. For starters, I want to say this is definitely a bedroom-centric purifier and isn’t meant for larger open concept spaces (Opt for the 311 Auto for bigger area). The 411 auto is virtually silent on level 1. Level 2 is also pretty quiet but has a very gentle breeze sound (personally my fav for sleeping bc the white noise is calming). Level 3 definitely is a jump in sound but is good for brief quick air cleaning. Auto mode is pretty accurate with detection rate. I put out a candle that was relatively close proximity to the purifier and the sensor light turned red and gradually revved up to sift out the smoke. In another test, I blew out a candle that was further away from the purifier across the room. The sensor did take longer to begin revving up the fan (about 5 mins give or take) but nonetheless still managed to detect. I find dissipation of odors and smoke to be pretty decent. Today I was indecisive about outfits and tried on many diff things while looking in the mirror and I guess all the dust and lint kicked up and got the little guy revving up. All this to say, the AQI sensor and Auto Mode is great! Other positives: -low power consumption. It’s gonna be so inexpensive on your electricity bill. Only 10watts of power max! -stylish! The prefilters are very attractive I’m in a very modern minimalist space with black and whites and grays. The default pre filter it ships with fits perfectly! Diff decor? They have many different colors for you. I have to say, I doubted this thing for a bit because of its seemingly lacking power. It reminded me a lot of the Levoit Vista 200. However that model is awfully weak and not worth the money. I believe the reason why the Blue Pure 411 Auto works so efficiently well, is because it is 90% filter. There’s no plastic unibody or restrictive intake grills. Just fabric and filter. Because of this, less fan power is needed to pull in air through several layers of plastic holes and super dense materials. Pretty innovative and a true example of “less is more”. Highly recommend for those who want a stylish, efficient minimalist air purifier for a small space.

It simply works, and it’s fantastic
I never thought I’d need one of these, but my son has been getting stuffy at night for these past few months and it disrupts his sleep. This air purifier started working pretty much immediately. Even I didn’t realize how bad my allergies were til we started using this, and I breathe so much easier now. It has a “night mode” which just means the fan is lower and quieter, but we sleep with a fan anyway and like the noise. So we turn it all the way up for max effect during the night and just leave it running on the low setting during the day. We got the mini as our rooms are on the smaller side and it works exactly as I’d hoped it would. It’s also a nicely sized and cute machine. There are different color fabrics you can put over the outside which I plan on getting later on. It’s extremely simple to use and so lightweight I was actually worried about the quality, but it works so well and is totally worth the price point. Zero complaints about this machine. Will buy this one again if the need ever arises.

Significant Improvement in my Breathing
I'm very ill and struggle with breathing sometimes. I have trouble cleaning my room due to my illnesses and I suspected the unclean environment wasn't doing me any favors either. I noticed that it was getting difficult to breathe specially when I was laying down. I would often wake up gasping for air. I've had this air purifier over a week now and my breathing inside my room has improved greatly. If I have the filter at medium or full blast, I'm not stuffy at all either. I'm noticing I'm not waking up gasping for air now. I can't believe the air my room was causing me so many issues. In fact, if I spend some time elsewhere in the house, my nose becomes stuffy again because my family doesn't use a purifier there. I have my purifier on all the time now. It has made some weird crackling noises only twice since I bought it. It's infrequent, though unsure what causes that. The auto setting is very quiet if filter detects the air is in good condition. I'm able to sleep without issues while it's on. If I'm moving around my room, I set it to medium because I don't need it to be so quiet. I went with this brand because of how quiet it claimed to be compared to others available, the auto setting, and washable filter on the outside. It was a terrific investment for me and I only wish I had it since years ago. I never knew a device like this could really help me out with my health.

Decent air purifier … so far so good
So far I’ve purchased two mini max units and they seem to be working fine. One in the bedroom and one in the living area. I’ll check the filter that came in the unit, but product description says it comes with one temporary filter in unit and one extra filter, and there was no extra filter in either box, only the filters that came in the unit. I contacted the supplier via chat message and they say that the filters that came in the unit should last about 6 months. So i went ahead and ordered four extra filters which run about $9 each. I do like the size of the units and they are quiet. Also the price is good as compared to many others. Otherwise, my cat isn’t sneezing like she used to. And I feel they are working as expected.

This arrived after 2 weeks, only to be equipped with a US plug, totally unsuitable for UK homes. No where in the description does it mention that this is the case. Avoid if in UK.

The item arrived quickly and worked as intended, shipped directly from the US by Amazon. It seems to be high quality and looks good. My understanding is that the benefits of this unit are: 1. looks good, 2. uses washable fabric prefilter to take some of the work away from the hepa filter, 3. contains an air quality sensor, 4. has a night mode which is quiet and where the light is dimmed, and 5. probably more importantly, uses the high quality hepa filters from Blueair. My wife trusts the Blueair filters and this is probably the most important differentiator for this product. In other respects, it is similar to other filters which are available. If you like Blueair, I'm happy to recommend this.

I researched numerous similar products and I was led to this air purifier. I am very pleased with the quality and look of this one. It is very quiet. We keep it in our bedroom as our dogs sleep in the room with us. The air quality is noticeably better

March 22, 2023, I am so happy I bought this BLUE Pure 411 Auto air purifier, just wish I had years ago! Full disclosure, I have severe indoor and outdoor allergies year round, post nasal drip and I have asthma. Needless to say I usually spend a lot of money on tissues, allergy medication, sinus rinse supplies and have to remove dust from my home daily and launder bedding every 3 days. Already I can breathe better, no coughing/wheezing, wake up with clear sinuses and haven't even needed my allergy meds! It really clears out airborne odours (food/farts/sweat) and dust. It makes a huge difference for air quality especially when I am sleeping, no more snoring from plugged sinuses. I like the sound of a fan as it buffers noise from outside traffic or loud music/voices. So, I don't find this loud at all, even on it's highest setting and it's always on high 24/7. I will update this review in 6 months and add further information based on my experience but so far it simply amazing and affordable! ****UPDATE!***July 20, 2024 It's been a year and three months! This little machine is a beast! I keep this one at my bedside. I have had it running on its highest air purifying function 24/7 since the day it arrived! It is only off while changing filters. I absolutely love it and when it is in stock I highly recommend buying it! I will be buying more of them for other rooms. I change my "inner round accordion " filters every 3 to 6 months. I do recommend having extra filters both inner and outer just make sure they are for your specific machine. I have found that the non blue air versions of the cloth filters often do not fit well and some are made of materials that blocked the air purify function/suction. I did recently purchase a two pack of "inner" filters that are not "blue air" brand and they do fit but I will update in 3 to 6 months and let you know if they are good quality or not and provide the brand of the ones I bought. I do not think they are as good as the Blueair brand so far....I can see through the inner black part of the filter and that is not a good sign as large particles of dust and everything else smaller will be going through it instead of collected so don't believe they are real hepa filters. I do find that the "red" light feature that indicates the filters need to be changed is not reliable so I simply make note on my chore calendar to change the filter. I have also noticed that the outer cloth filters need to be cleaned much more often. You can easily do this by vacuuming them with a hand vac or a shop vac. I have a lot of allergies to dust and asthma so I do clean mine every day or two with a quick vac of the hand vac and I either hand wash it or machine was it every two weeks by slipping it into a mesh lingerie bag and just toss it in with a load of washcloths and towels. I will be curious to know how well this machine works as we enter into Summer "forest fire season". I will continue to provide updates with my experiences with this BLUE Pure 411 Auto air purifier! Take care and happy shopping!
