ASICS Men's Gunlap Shorts

I’ve been buying ASICS running gear for years with good results. I usually don’t buy 2 in 1 running shorts like this one. However for the price at the time it was worth a try. The inner brief provides a snug amount of support. If you are used to regular running shorts with the regular inner liner, it may not be for you. On sizing it seems all manufacturers are making the same sizes slightly smaller than my ASICS running shorts I have and still use. I’m 6 feet and 188 lbs and wear a large for ASICS running attire.. I bought a large which is okay for me for running but they are slightly restrictive for full range of motion for aerobics.

Started running again, after a long lay-off due to injury. Unfortunately, put on some weight during the down time. So came here looking for Running Shorts. These were recommended by a Runner's Magazine. So figured they knew more than I did, and purchased a few pairs. The quality is excellent. Lightweight fabric, with good feel to the touch. Get the feeling these will last a good long time. The liner was the real selling point for me, and on the first few runs, confirmed it's a plus and no chaffing (yes I know ick). There are drawstrings to tighten the waist which are plenty long. Also there is a reflective logo on the front left leg. Wish there were more reflectives, preferably on the back of the short. I'm more concerned about cars coming up behind me. So that's a miss. The other miss in my opinion, is the lack of zippered pocket, say on the top of the rear backside. A small place with a secure zipper to store a key, ID, and maybe a few dollars would have made this 5 star. Maybe in washing the zipper would go bad, don't know. But miss it. There are two side open pockets similar to those in normal shorts, but I wouldn't put anything of real importance in them to "run", the intended purpose of these shorts. The pockets are fine if you're running to the grocery store and want to carry a wallet and car keys, but useless in my opinion for running. There is a tiny pocket inside the shorts with a flap covering. It would work for a key, and maybe folded currency. Haven't tested if it keeps a key secure while running. I just decided to pick up a running fanny pack to use with these, which has the security I want and reflectives, so it addresses the two shortcoming of these shorts. Other than that, I do like them and would buy again. I know there are shorts with a zippered pocket like I mentioned. May give a pair a try but running shorts have gotten expensive. These are a good value and high quality.

Best value 2-in-1 shorts in the market. A little baggy on the outside and great for many uses. Have bought many since.

They are okay but I don't like the crampy inner lining.

I really like the shorts however, I usually wear a medium and I needed a large for these. So just be careful when ordering. Otherwise, great shorts.
