great product and great company. they helped me a lot on a project i was working on. with out their advice i am unsure i would have been able to pull it off

So, the ad on facebook kept popping up about this quick release handle to add to your iphone cage. Designed by some dude named Brandon Li. Don't know the guy, but I did like the idea of quickly converting my phone into a passable guerilla style documentary tool. The idea of bypassing having to screw on the handles by just snapping in was really appealing. The ad came too early and I had a trip coming up and only this accessory and not the accessory with the handle was available. So I bought it, attached a clunky older small rig grip I had and was able to rock it on my new I phone 15 pro max cage. It is a sturdy device with a satisfying snug fit. I see other reviews where they say it doesn't fit on other things. I don't think it's supposed to fit on other things unless it was this newer iteration of iphone cage and it's larger clunkier cousin. All in all, it is quick release and quick attach, spring feels taut and the grip on the rig feels secure enough to hold without it falling off. Also, I think I like putting the clunkier grip on the cage than the thinner cigar sized attachment that is now available.

Anyone who has worked with filming or cameras knows that it’s just nice to have some sort of quick release mechanism to keep things moving along. So, I decided to try this out because I happen to have the compatible cage and side handle. I do stress that these quick release attachments are design to work ONLY with the products listed in the description so…it’s crucial to understand that this isn’t a universal adapter. For what it is, it’s easy to put together and it’s above-average in quality (in other words: the materials are of quality). The only downsides are that there is an extremely slight wobble when moving an attached handle in a quick, rotating motion (but this is unlikely to occur unintentionally) and the quick release design is perhaps TOO good in that if you have a tendency to fidget with silicone clips, this thing will come right off when you press those release pads. …other than that it does what it says—if you have the compatible accessories.

The Smallrig Rotatable QR Side Handle Adapter is a handy little upgrade for your Smallrig side handle, or any side handle that it’ll fit, which is probably most. The only requirement is that it is designed specifically for attaching a side handle to one of Smallrigs QR capable phone cages. If you shoot video, this little accessory allows for smooth tilts, up or down. It has just the right amount of dampening for super smooth control of the movement; it’s actually a game changer for handheld phone video shooting. On a tripod, it will still provide the same smooth movement or, used to mount a handle as a top handle, it can be used for smooth pans if needed, although normally the tripod itself would be used. In any case, the little gadget allows for some creative moves. The adapter, as is typically the case from Smallrig, is very well designed, and built to a high standard of quality and functionality. Both the locating pins and the QR clamp are firmly spring-loaded; the locating pins push against clamp for more security when attached to a cage. The adapter is supplied with the allen key necessary for mounting it to a side handle.

I initially ordered 4610 the ROTATABLE quick release adaptor side handle. When I received the first one it looks like the part doesn’t rotate and looks closely similar to 4404 quick release adaptor side handle. So I decided to order a replacement. When it arrived it looks like this might be an error in packaging by Smallrig and received the WRONG item again. Both pictured in the photo above. As you can see it’s missing the part that divides the side handle to rotate. Very disappointed getting a full refund for both at this point.

This is a great way to upgrade your SmallRig handle to fit the new phone cages. The build is the same high quality metal to match the handle and the cage. The tool is already in the bottom of the handle, so you simply remove the old connector and install this one in it's place. The clamps are strong and hold tight, and it is very easy to press the clamp to install and release the handle. Highly recommend.

Très utile pour travailler avec un avec sur le smallrig

Dieser Schnellverschlussadapter von Smallrig erspart einem eine Menge Zeit. Er kommt wie gewohnt gut verpackt in einem kleinen Karton, ist super verarbeitet und lässt sich schnell montieren. Einmal montiert kann man so kinderleicht und in Sekunden den Griff am Cage befestigen. Erspart einem auf jeden Fall Zeit, weil man nicht erst Schrauben lösen oder anschrauben muss. Gut investiertes Geld wie ich finde und das in gewohnt super Qualität von Smallrig. 👍

Great upgrade to the supplied mounts with original purchase. Bit pricey but does the job

Come da titolo ho ricevuto un unità difettosa, possiedo il kit con il cage per iphone 15 pro max e gli adattatori sono uguali a questo e non hanno nessun difetto. Purtroppo la mia unità non resta fissa sul cage, infatti appena muovo il telefono il manico attaccato al cage si muove di un millimetro ad ogni movimento, cosa che non succede con i due pezzi che ho ricevuto con il kit, infatti quelli rimangono fissi e sembra di avere tra le mani un unico pezzo. Visto il prezzo mi sarei aspettato un prodotto migliore visto anche l'ambito in cui viene usato. Aggiornamento: Il venditore mi ha contattato offrendomi una sostituzione totalmente gratuita, ho ricevuto il nuovo adattatore e questa volta è perfetto, non c’è il minimo gioco quando viene usato con il caffè per iPhone 15 pro max, sembra di avere un unico pezzo di metallo tra le mani e non due pezzi separati, questo fa sì che il telefono segua i movimenti precisamente e senza la preoccupazione che si stacchi. Consiglio l’acquisto a chi usa lo smartphone per riprese e foto più professionali, oltre al fatto che il venditore si è rivelato serio ed affidabile.
