Worth the extra $, very good boots
Tried a similar off brand boot about half the cost but not really comfortable for every day long term wear. These very comfortable pretty much right out of box as Merrills often are, and for all day wear. Water resistance excellent, very sturdy for outdoor work as well as walking/hiking. Seem fairly slip resistant on slick stone etc. Plenty of room to add orthotics for added comfort.

Received used merchandise
Ordered a new pair of boots as a gift for my husband. Received previously worn boots. There was dirt/mud or something else embedded in the sole of the boots. Obviously, not in new condition.

Good boot
All of my other shoes/boots are Merrells'. So when I needed a heavy duty work boot, I looked to see what Merrell had to offer.I needed something made with leather and with some sort of protective toe box and these fit the bill. Plus, they were only $100.They arrived quickly and fit perfectly. They're somewhat waterproof and the carbon fiber toe box is sturdy. They're fairly lightweight and the sole is grippy.I would definitely buy again.

Quality boot with good fit
These are very well made safety work boots. The fit is comfortable also. Unfortunately, I can’t use them as I need boots that are not metallic due to using metal detectors at work and the carbon graphite safety toe, although not made of metal, still sets off the metal detecting pinpointer I tested them with.

Disappointed check the photos
Subsoul was misaligned or poorly glued. I worn Merrill hikers for work for years because they are super comfortable and I love the brand so I was really excited for these hoping they would stand up better to the abuse of construction work because my hikers alway fall apart at the inside toe precisely where this are all janky. I don’t have have time to return them because my current work shoes are held together with duck tape but am afraid these are gonna fall apart fast because of this flaw. I’m gonna put some glue in there and hope that works. Shouldn’t have to be gluing brand new shoes so I’m disappointed.
