I bought this as I needed something to get rid of the cats as they were doing their business in my front and back garden. I don't have a cat and I didn't want to to be cleaning up my neighbours cats poo. I bought one initially for the back garden, it took a few days to notice a reduction in the poo, and then after around 2 weeks it did the trick and so far no more mess to clean up. I then bought another for the front garden and again, after around one week it has done the job nicely. They seem like a good quality product and easy to set up. I was initially worried about the sound it omits as I have 2 young children (2 and 5) and was worried it may cause them some disruption, but no issues at all. Well worth the money to keep pests out of the garden.

Have been using this product for 6 weeks. The included batteries have run out already but they were only 800mAh (takes 4) and I've found that the solar panel didn't work to prolong their life at all. Granted, there's a slim chance that this could be due to the surrounding trees and bushes but very doubtful. In fact, the solar panel won't work on its own at all. However, the product itself works perfectly on the batteries to keep the guilty cats away and our garden is no longer used as their litter tray. So, overall, I'm very happy and have invested in some 2500mAh rechargeables to keep it going longer and save on battery costs. Rated 4 stars due to the short battery life and poor performance of the solar panel, but bearing in mind the cost of the product and its effectiveness.

After being dogged by the local feline menagerie with anal deposits all over my lawn I tried this device after a recommendation by someone at work. I got one (not solar powered) for my lower lawn and the amount of poo definitely reduced. The side effect was an increase of the stuff on my upper lawn, which is when I discovered the solar powered equivalent. Now both lawns have protection and both are free of unbidden messages. One thing to bear in mind is that if you allow young people in your garden they are very likely to get quite upset because their young ears are receptive to the high frequency sounds emitted by the devices. This is not a problem for me though; indeed, I get the added benefit of deterring young hooligans. Disclaimer: I have also lined my lawn borders with pellets of lion poo so this may well be helping to keep the cat population at bay. However, I observed that its effectiveness on its own had begun to wane, which is why I'm using these devices as an additional weapon. A note on battery life - the non solar powered one has been in use for over a year and I've only had to change the batteries once. The solar powered one (which is really a solar assisted one, since it still needs batteries) is too new for me to comment on battery life but it will be interesting to see if they last longer in that one.

This doesn't seem to work, it does nothing, makes no sound, no blue light on front. I thought it was because weather was dull so I bought the battery powered version in the meantime and that lit up blue immediately when batteries fitted it registered movement in front of it. I placed the solar one in full sunlight outside for 3 sunny days and unit still does absolutely nothing. Waste of time and money. And screwing battery compartment on and attaching stake was a nightmare, for example you need a very small screwdriver for battery compartment and even then it would not sit flush. Solar seemed a great idea but if it doesn't work whats the point? Have arranged to send back for refund.

Got this in the summer and placed it in full sunlight. Seemed to keep the cats from messing in the front garden, and could easily be seen working when triggered by somebody passing in front of it. After a couple of months I noticed that the light didn't come on anymore when I passed by. Looks like the solar panel is not big enough to generate the power required to keep it fully charged unless it's a bright summers day. It will come on if it gets a good amount of sunlight, but certainly doesn't work all day like it used to.

Does the job, keeps cats out of our garden. Have just bought a replacement, the original one probably lasted about 3 years. We could tell when it needed replacing-next doors cat left a present on the lawn

Worked in combination with other cat deterrents but the product completely stopped working after less than 3 months. Build quality could be a lot better. Absolutely chews through batteries too.

I bought this on 25th February. I charged the batteries before installing them. The unit isn't in direct sunlight but there is a blue light which comes on when movement is detected and it is still happening today 12th March. (nearly 3 weeks on). I don't know how effective it is at keeping cats away but I haven't seen any since. Edit: well, its been 5 months and I've only seen two cats in my garden. If the animals stand still the motion detection times out, as with all detectors of this type. The batteries don't charge in the winter months. I've had to put the batteries on a charger.

Wir waren skeptisch aber so verzweifelt dass wir es versucht haben. Seit dem ersten Tag der Nutzung haben wir KEINE EINZIGE Katzen Hinterlassenschaft mehr auf unserem Rasen!!! Ich habe einfach den Regler auf volle Lotte gestellt und es wirkt! Ganz einfach! Ich liebe Dinge die funktionieren.

Le jardin de ma mère était dévasté par tous les chats de voisinage venant y faire leurs besoins. L'appareil est très efficace, les chats ne viennent plus dans son jardin et vont donc faire leurs besoins ailleurs. Je recommande aux utilisateurs de lire les recommandations d'usage que l'on trouve sur Internet (surtout en Angleterre) pour bien faire les 2 réglages des boutons. Cela a marché du premier coup pour moi. Je signale que le rechargement par batterie solaire est efficace pour le moment (après 2 semaines d'utilisation).

Das Gerät soll unseren großen Topf neben der Haustüre vor dem Markieren der Kater schützen. (Stinkt wirklich eklig!) Es ist jetzt 2 Wochen in Betrieb, davon hatten wir eine Woche Dauerfrost, dann Starkregen. Bis jetzt gibt es keine Beanstandung. Natürlich gewöhnen sich die Kater daran, dann muss der Regler wieder verändert werden (was wir mit einer Kamera verfolgen können). Die Akkus wurden ganz aufgeladen und machen bis jetzt mit. Bin gespannt, wie lange.
