The only way this could be better would be if it attached itself to the wall
The only way this could be better would be if it attached itself to the wall. We have tried a similar product before which was just the polystyrene on its own, and this proved far less effective and much more work than this product. We have used it in two houses now to tackle cold spots on walls and condensation issues and it has worked a treat. Its a very easy job between two people but is simple enough that one could do it with extra care and attention. It will crack if bent and will also bent if it is leaned upon so you have to show a bit of care with it. We used a cheap own brand paste on wall ready made wallpaper adhesive which was a quarter of the price of the suggested Erfurt brand. It can be painted (though the joins can still show) or papered over. The condensation issues we had on the houses has been resolved and the rooms even feel that little bit warmer.

Brilliant wall covering
Brilliant lining paper to cover imperfect walls. Easy to apply couldn't be happier with the product.

It seems to do what it says.
Well, it is certainly thick and quite easily creased. Additionally it doesn't want to go around corners so in our downstairs loo, which is where I used it, there are lots of strips because lots of corners. I used heavy duty polycell and gave the walls a really good thick pasting - having first painted the walls with an anti damp paint. and it stuck very well. I left it for about a week and then papered over and it looks OK. The walls feel definitely warmer and less damp.

Good product
Bought this for a very cold bedroom wall which suffered from condensation and mould during winter months, the room feels much warmer now and so far no condensation, not easy to work with though as I had to trim around windows and a radiator but easy on a standard straight wall but around obsticles you feel like your pasting a huge crisp on the wall, however I have just ordered more.

Good idea for interior wall insulation, but not easy to handle.
Good idea for interior wall insulation, but not easy to handle.I have used this for our spare bed room where the walls are always cold and damp during the winter. It is very difficult to handle due to the brittle nature of the Polystyrene. I'm very sure the whole sheet will break into pieces if it was not bonded on the lining paper. Even with the lining paper on, the polystyrene layer is still easily broken leave the lining paper creased look. Strongly suggest handle gently and by two persons.Prepare yourself a pair of good sharp scissors, as it is very difficult to cut the the polystyrene due to its granular texture. You will need thermal liner adhesive, and be generous when you apply. I tested to apply thicker and thiner adhesive in different areas and concluded that thin adhesive will not bond the sheet on the wall. And where the wall is not even, you have to press the sheet firmly (but not to put too much pressure on any point, otherwise you will make a dent) and hold for few second.Do expect some minor gaps in the jointing area. The gap is not obvious until you paint the sheet (I used Dulux emulsion matt which didn't help, i think some other paint may be better on filling gaps). I only found out this after painted, I managed to squeeze some epoxy in the gaps and repaint to get rid of the insightful gaps.Be aware that the sheet is quite soft and if you have kids or pets that could be a problem. I accidentally bump a chair into the wall, and immediate left a dent with slight tear.It should be a good interior insulation solution, but only winter will tell.

Excellent.
This was quite easy to put up. I found it best to measure the lengths required before I put them up. Also you cannot back roll it as it will crack the polystyrene, even trying to flatten it can result in it cracking. You just have to unroll some and fit the top first and carefully unroll it downwards. I used this to insulate fitted wardrobes that were fixed to an outside non cavity wall. There was a noticeable improvement in the temperature in side the wardrobes.

GOOD PRODUCT
This solved the problem of a very cold wall inside a built in wardrobe that was on an outside wall, which occasionally caused the clothes too feel a little damp, Now all is OK clothes are not cold or damp and when the wall is touched it also is not cold
