What a great piece of kit changing between the different pods is seamless and grinding pink salt properly where other makes grinding is inconsistent

The swappable spice pod is a super clever idea. Make the spice grinding a snap. So easy to use, cannot go back to the old mill for sure. You get for what you paid for.

This performs better than most i have seen, professional bit of kit. You can see when you use this why it is priced so high, using some rather dried out pepper corns on its finest setting you can hear the motor drive and grind them down and does it perfectly. we currently has a decent set of 2 individual electric spice grinders form different brands and neither of these would grind the pepper corns to a fine dust they just constantly jam up, this thing just munches through them having so true power. This is aimed more for the professional cook where longevity will be a keep purchase requirement. The design of quick change pods it excellent at saving space but these individually however if you want to obtain more than 2 you are looking at around £10 a pod so can soon add up. The quality and workmanship that has gone in to this kit is outstanding so worth the 5 stars on this alone, for myself this will be sufficient for pepper and granular sea salt. The only negative i can put forward is that it is rechargeable via a USB Micro B connector which have a tendency to go faulty, should have been fitted with the standard USB C charge port in this day and age.

This grinder is great. It's split into two parts - the handle with the motor and a detachable 'pod' which contains the stuff to be ground and the grinding element. It comes with two pods included which are of the "Pro Plus" type. These pods are suitable for grinding peppercorns, salt crystals, small seeds etc. For herbs, peels, harder stuff like coffee beans, nutmeg and so on more suitable pods are available to purchase separately. The best thing about this gadget, is that once the pods are filled, it's a one-handed operation, even to change to pods. With the pod on the work surface, simply lower the main unit over it and it clicks into place. To remove the pod simply place the unit down and give it a little push and the pod detaches. Simple, yet brilliant. I really like the fact that I can keep stirring my pot and add seasoning at the same time with push of a button! The main unit has a battery built in, and was ready to use out of the box, which was nice. It's charged via Micro USB, and there is a suitable cable included. I would have preferred it to be a Type C socket so that I did not need to swap cables over when I need to charge it. Maybe a future revision will change this. Also included what a sheet of stickers to label the pods which I thought was a nice touch. Overall it's a good product. I don't know why the pods don't have lids to seal them when not in use, that is something I would like to see added. And as mentioned, I would prefer it to be USB Type C for charging, but that's not the end of the world. It's not as if it need charging every day.

Finamill Rechargeable Spice Mill This is a stylish and good looking spice mill. It’s great for kitchen use but nice enough to use on the dining table too. The mill is rechargeable by way of the included USB cable and whilst not checked, the company claim that one charge will last for months. It’s a great design whereby you use separate pods for each spice rather than having to wash the container out after every use. That does of course mean that you could end up with loads of pods to store. This set comes with just two but you can buy additional ones separately. You can also buy different types of pod depending on what you want to grind. I tested the grinder using course sea salt which worked very well but also flax seeds which whilst not really a spice it is something that I use in a ground form on a daily basis. Currently I buy ready ground but I was keen to try grinding my own with this device and it worked really well! So, I will now be using freshly ground flax seed :) The grinder is very simple to use, once your pod is loaded with what you want to grind it really is a one handed operation. Just the press of a button really and it’s done. You can adjust the coarseness of the grinding too by using a little wheel on the bottom of the pod. I am really impressed with this grinder and will probably be buying more pods so that I can grind other things. Oh and a nice touch is they include little labels that you can attach to the pods to say what is in each pod. It’s not cheap but I think you are getting a quality device for your money.

My husband is a chef so he took this to work to try out. The gap at the bottom of the grinder is so big, when you put any herbs into the pot, they just fall through. The plastic also isn't strong so it just mushes the contents together rather than blending or grinding it.
