This is one of the best purchases I have made in years. I am impressed with the design and functionality, not to mention the added convenience of being able to plug it right into my phone cube and charge by USB. Great for travel...no loose pieces to keep up with and no heavy weight or encumbrance. Packs flat or fits right in your purse. Gives soft, soothing light without glare on screen. I am ordering one for my school-aged grandchildren. Of course, great service from Amazon, as always.

I used this just about three or four times and it no longer works. I missed the window of opportunity to return it. I would not buy this item again as it does not recharge properly and no longer works.

This unit is just too bulky and awkward to use on bedside books. So I thought I'd use it around the house where I need a little extra light. But the white light is too glaring, too harsh. So I put it inside some fabric. Good so far. Then it dims in a couple of hours and is dead in four. Ugh.Oh, and the side button? I've nearly taken off my thumbnail every time I try to move the button up/down to turn the device on/off.Great that it's LED (low energy usage), but four hours is not nearly enough time for a single use for me. I'd much rather a lower setting that extends the battery life to at least eight hours. And a gentler, soft-white/yellower light that doesn't burn my retinas off when I look in the path of the bulb.

I love this book light - I’d agree with other reviews that I wish a charge would last longer than 4 hours but I’m not sure I’d be reading in the dark longer than that anyway- also I’d agree with other reviews that figuring out how to charge it from the instructions on the packaging is impossible- I went back online and looked at the pictures- they REALLY need to fix the directions- also addressing people that said USB wouldn’t fit - I was trying it one way and it wouldn’t go and then flipped it over and works perfectly in my Mac laptop USB port and in my usb square for my phone- and I think the light is very bright- as soon as I figured mine out (5 minutes or so) I just ordered 4 more for family stockings this Christmas- I plan on taking it out of the yucky packaging and showing people how to do it - 4 stars and not 5 only because the instructions and packaging need improvement but the product is great in my opinion!

It works incredibly well and is bright. I used it for a power outage and was thoroughly happy with it.

Good concept, good quality, tho the light is too dim. Can’t really use it after all.

Nifty and powerful light! I’ve had it for a couple of years now and it works just as great as day one. My favorite feature is that is usb rechargeable. You will not regret this purchase.

The USB charging plug is too large to fit in any usb port. Inpossible to recharge. They must figure that at this price noone will go to the trouble of returning it.
