The best purchase I have ever made in my life.
The installation process was very simple and easy for people to understand how to use the tracker properly. The Stability on the trackers are somewhat stable and they sometimes lose tracking when your room is too clean where you have to redo the whole tracker map all over again. The value for the trackers are alright but it didn't have to increase to about $100 for the trackers themselves. The connection was very easy to do just connect the cradle to the USB-C port on your PC and attach the dongle to the top of the cradle and the rest is simple. The functionality is somewhat usable but sometimes they lose tracking randomly when there is nothing reflective in the room which is odd but still it works half the time but I am used to the trackers doing that but still I like them no matter what.

Pure Disappointment
Gonna drop as thorough of a review of these as I can, please read this before you buy them! I bought mine to play games like VRChat and have full body tracking, and here's my overall thoughts on them. Tracking: 3.5/5. Pretty standard nothing bad but nothing exceptional. It's good tracking, though it slides around a bit too much sometimes and has occasional lag and stuttering. There's worse out there, but there's certainly better as well. Check other products if the quality of tracking is your main worry. Connection/Syncing: 0/5. The connection between the trackers, their dongle and the VR headset itself (also known as syncing) is...Disappointing, to put it very lightly. It's the most glaring problem the product has, a process that should take 3-5 minutes tops took me 2.5 hours the day I got them, 45 minutes the day after, and then over an hour on the day of this review. I run a Meta Quest 3 and connect it to my high-performance PC via a USB 3.0 cable. Both my PC and my Quest 3 are in tip-top condition and have zero issues, leading me to believe it's just the trackers themselves having this syncing issue. It stutters, it cuts out, it drags, it's inaccurate, and it's promise of "tracking without base stations" is misleading. If you have a lot of base stations, I imagine this problem is negligible or non-existent. Battery: 4/5. Lasts longer than my headset (even when it's charging while I play via my PC!) giving me 5+ hours of life. They charge somewhat slowly, but the battery is quite nice. Software: 1/5. The bottom line is that the HTC Vive software will usually tell you what's wrong, but not why or how it's wrong. The download is a PITA, and setting the trackers up and getting them to sync just to each other is no better. It's minimal, in all the wrong ways. Directions/product installation: 1/5. It doesn't come with physical directions, instead you scan a QR code (how futuristic!) and it takes you to a page that's broken and only tells you a quarter of what you ought to know. As for setting up the tracking, refer to the previous sections of the review. It's difficult, makes you swear enough to make a sailor blush, and in my experience is unrewarding. Accessories/Miscellaneous: Doesn't come with any accessories, which for $600 you think it would. I bought the straps as well as a USB 3.0 hub separately. It also does not come with any of the cords needed to plug it where you need to. It requires you to plug each individual tracker into your PC to do an update before you use the product, and doesn't come with USB-C cables. I was lucky to have a pack of adapters I had bought for a different item. You'll likely be spending another $50 or more the straps, adapters and the hub. Overall: 1/5 due to the disappointing connection, irritating setup, inconsistency, lack of accessories and instructions, constant interrupts and the misleading description of the product. In order to make these work, you REQUIRE compatible base stations. This product costs way more than $600, and if you think you'll only spend $600, read this review again. Either save yourself the disappointment and buy a different product, or if you really don't care about the extra cost, pick up a few HTC Vive base stations as well. I'm sure the trackers work well with those base stations, but standalone they are just utter trash.

Great if you have your own place, terrible if you're a basement dweller
PERSONALLY, love them, but they're not for everyone, and here's why in the most passive aggressive way possible con 1.- if you're some basement dweller who lives with their mommy n daddy in their mid or late 20s and you're on VR games way passed their bed time, these are the worst trackers for you because they require you to have a ceiling light with a decent brightness and warmth to it, turned on at all times for these to work n track reliably, something people who don't live on their own TRULY FEAR, the light!!!! oh no! (Don't worry, if you have a good vr head set, it'll block out all the light for those of us who live on our own and don't have to worry about disturbing people with a bright light late at night) con 2.- same rules as 3.0s with the lasers, except this time, it's light, the trackers cant be covered other wise, they lose tracking in mere seconds, think of the tracker's cameras as using your ceiling light like a base station, but this time, I can actually wiggle my feet under my desk if the light is bright enough unlike with my 3.0s, AND same rules with your headset lenses apply to these trackers, KEEP THE CAMERA LENSE CLEAN FOR GOOD TRACKING you little trash gremlin! don't be nasty, THEY HAVE TO BE KEPT AT 60HZ 24/7, other wise, midcore tracking! con 3.- does a terrible job at remembering the scan of your room even when it says room scan complete in the vive hub app, so it 100% requires a fresh scan every time you want to get good tracking, don't worry your pretty little self, it only takes 2-3 minutes to set up each time unless you're as slow as a sloth, you could use the exercise ! I'm sure 2-3 minutes a day is nothing compare to the doom scrolling you do everyday or spend idle on vr! con 4.- battery life is eh (5-6 hours) and they don't give you type c outlets, only 3 type c cords both ways to charge the trackers, better hope your mother board has 3 type c outlets or that you have 3 type c chargers laying around! con 5.- I HIGHLY recommend getting battery pucks to eliminate this issue of short battery life and tracker traps with a flat surface rather than your typical 3.0 ones to eliminate the wiggly effect which can be annoying for tracking and comfort con 6.- you can only have 5 vive ultimate trackers on at once, so you need to chose wisely what you want to have being tracked, personally, I recommend your two ankles or feet, your two knees, and your hip. last con.- your very first installation will be annoying, as like with almost every FBT tracker, that's something these tracker companies can't get right, is making your very first set up easy, it'll take some getting use to, but once you've mastered it after a week or two, it'll take mere minutes THE PROS, and I'll make these short to be modest pro 1.- VERY DURABLE, I've accidently dropped them on trips, kicked the bottom of my desk with them, hit my foot against a wall! ouchie! yet they still work just fine! WARNING, if you hit them very hard whilst they're tracking, you might need to do another room scan and recalibrate them! I've literally been mailed broken base stations and have had base station faults to the point of annoyance and rage! slimes going bad with internet issues! atleast that's not an issue with these, it's purely just lighting. pro 2.- COMFORTABLE, with the right straps, they don't wiggle, AND you only need to put 3-5 straps on, and snap the 3-5 trackers onto each one which takes mere seconds, they're easy n comfortable, they don't have the blood draining discomfort of slimes and they wont puncture you by accident like 3.0s! long are the days of needing to unscrew every single tracker just to charge them or recal them/fix their tracking, just snap and click! pro 3.- PORTABLE, you legit only need to take your straps, trackers, and SINGLE dongle with you, set up to your laptop, congrats, full body tracking where ever you go, on the go! ezpz, no hassle of resetting up your base stations, base station stands, dongle station, you only need ONE dongle for all 5 trackers, just make sure your place has decent WARM lighting and doesn't look like a basic bland poster for a back rooms film! pro 4.- GREAT TRACKING if done right and you have the proper ceiling lighting/brightness n warmth, making sure nothing interferes with it (like having your windows are properly closed so no sun light messes with the ceiling light!!) and a room with decent décor, no mirrors/reflective stuff; you'll have great tracking, genuinely almost on par with having 4 base stations! pro 5.- BANG FOR BUCK, cheap for the type of tracking it offers (about 600-700$ and 50$ straps) , WHEN CONSIDERING the cost of light house tracking, just 4 base stations by them self are almost 1000$ when there isn't a sale going on, the trackers are about 390$ for 3, base station STANDS are about 100+$ for 4, dong station, another 30$~, straps, 50$~ OH, and if you don't have a vive head set, you need A 4TH TRACKER DIY'd attached at the end of your vr head set, which is great if you're some socially weird basement dweller who constantly has their head n neck leaned forward, for the rest of us, who use light vr head sets, that's just an annoying pain! thank god, vive ultimates eliminate that cost factor to both your wallet and your neck tumor! for those of who you used a program to get tracking with a camera vr head instead of attaching a 3.0 tracker to your head set.. just get slimes at that point, your tracking looks goofy. final pro.- they're more versatile, can be used on objects, for for your school projects, attached to a sword for some creative animations! more universal with your programs AND your head set! p.s.- did I mention they'll prevent you from getting a neck tumor with how many head sets they support, lol

Great once set up
The trackers work great, the only issue was the first time setting up.... oh man... it was so bad that I took off a star. BUT they barley give me issues, and highly recommend them, very smooth clean tracking, and I dance a lot in them.

5/5
(EDIT: 5/5 Stars. Testing on both my Quest 2 and Quest 3 VIA Link Cable and SteamVR, the trackers work GREAT After the newest updates. I now only have to recalibrate once in a blue moon. The mapping stays consistent every time I turn on the trackers in my play area. It's very helpful to know that when setting up the trackers, you don't have to be in front of your PC. What I did was stand in front of my couch and set it as my home area, so whenever I turned on my trackers I would have to face the couch and let the trackers do it's thing. Whenever I do experience drifting and am unable to fix it with the calibration tab, I just turn off the trackers on vive hub, make sure I stand in front of my couch, turn them back on, then recalibrate them. It sounds like a long process, but should only take you three minutes max! ) A quick disclaimer, I did buy these trackers used, and it does not come with straps, but after having the trackers for a few weeks at this point, I'd say it's fairly good. I was concerned reading the reviews since it talks about lighting issues and how it affects the tracking since my bedroom lights aren't that bright, but after setting them up, the tracking worked well! Following the guide for third party headsets (I used a quest 2) it is recommended that you don't clear out your room completely. The trackers need a point of reference so it can track your movements more accurately, so some furniture is better then completely clearing out your room. The ease of setup is a bit lacking, you'll have to join the VIVE to access the beta, setup the app for the trackers, connect the trackers to the dongle, install a few updates, and then finally pop on your headset and setup the tracking. Personally, I don't know if it's because I bought mine used, sometimes the trackers would either disconnect or drift off into another plane of existence whenever I would recalibrate. Thankfully, it only happens once every blue moon. Overall, I give it a 4/5. I love it, but it could be easier to handle in the future. Would recommend for FBT VR games 👌

Unreliable and not very versatile
Im writting this review after about 3/4 months of use. These are my first set of trackers and primarily used for VRChat and DD. Firstly let me start with the good. These trackers have great build quality, i wouldn't say they feel like a super premium product either, but they are built great and dont feel cheap, the only issue i had regarding their quality is that for some reason on just one of the trackers, one of the little buttons on its side to clip it to a strap was loose, but it didn't really affect anything cause it clips on the same and it kinda got back into place eventually. Calibration is pretty simple and straight forward, battery life is also pretty good too, solid 7 hours. Now, the most important part and the whole point of this product, the tracking. I'll say that WHEN IT WORKS its amazing, super smooth, doesn't drift and looks great, people dont lie when they say these provide the same tracking quality as the Vives 3.0, BUT the problem is that very often there's issues. In case you haven't researched or read other reviews regarding this, these trackers can be very... strict with your environment, they require very bright lighting in your room, you cannot be moving stuff around or change anything around your room that doesn't match your room scan, and of course you cannot cover them or they will lose tracking since they rely solely on the cameras. As if that wasn't enough, even when you keep the environment as perfect as posible, they still seem to lose tracking fairly easy in some scenarios, for example, mine tend to lose tracking when i sit or lay on my bed, which is really close to my main playspace anyways. Getting them to work again after they lose tracking IS pretty easy, you kinda just have to stand in front of your pc and they regain tracking very fast, but its obviously annoying to have to get up and do that repeatedly. Plus the way the tracking works itself makes it very prone to lose tracking, for example if your shirt is too lose it can go over the hip tracker and make it lose tracking, or maybe when you sit down when "bend" you may also cover the cameras. Even so this wouldn't be THAT much of a problem if the trackers just stayed still when they lose tracking, as in like "freezing" momentarily until they regain tracking, instead, a lot of the time they do this weird thing where they repeatedly "fly away" and makes my avatar look worse than someone having an exorcism done on them, what sucks is that im 100% sure this could be fixed or improved, but Vive seems to be neglecting the software for these. So to conclude, these trackers are amazing WHEN they work, but they can be very unreliable, which i find unacceptable for the price honestly, specially from a company like Vive. If they were cheaper id give them like a 3/5 or even a 4/5, but for 600 BUCKS this is devious.

I guess they're ok? They need to improve.
I'm not sure if it's my trackers or something but they easily get lost. Sometimes the tracker on my waist is like 2 feet away from me when I'm on my game but in real time it's literally on my waist and I cant figure out how to fix that. I guess it fixes itself the next time I play SOMETIMES. I also keep having to switch them out from leg to leg or leg to waist just so all of them will work. I work a lot so I realized too late when I was going to return them because honestly it just hasn't worked out so well for me. I feel as though these are way too expensive for them to be this way. I have been told by so many other players that these are not the best and a lot of people take way too much time to get them to track. They are super easy to maintain though and easy to prepare yourself with since you just click them on your straps and the battery life isnt too bad either since they can last about 6 hours with lots of movement. Longest they have lasted me has been about 8 hours with me dancing most of the time. I only give this a 3 star for the first few reasons because there is lots of options for trackers that are wayyyyy cheaper and work better than this.

Absolute garbage
To start off, I only write reviews if something is really phenomenal, or really abysmal. These trackers are the worst thing I have ever purchased. The setup seems relatively easy, except that I had to repeat the entire process from start to finish at least 5 times on the initial setup day. My play space was bright enough with plenty of objects for the trackers to reference so I have no idea why this happened. Also they dont come with straps and for $600+, they should at least come with something basic. So I attached them to my 3rd party straps and started up SteamVR. I began calibration, which initially worked well but then after I calibrated them one of my leg trackers completely lost its signal. I troubleshot it for hours trying to get it to connect again with absolutely no luck. I even repaired the tracker several times, reset the room map, ect ect and NOTHING WORKED. I tried again a few days later and they worked for hours, but this was the ONLY time they did so out of the 15 or so days I attempted them. Finally after weeks of trying to get them to work I gave up and returned them. I ordered a set of vive 3.0 with 2 base stations and I have not had a single connectivity error since. Bottom line: If you want to spend over $600 to be frustrated and have something that doesnt work as intended, these are for you.

Solid Next Gen Trackers
Purchased these as an upgrade from home built Slime Trackers. Using with a Quest 3 with Virtual Desktop. Solid tracking, have not had any issues with glitching or flinging your character off into space. No drift or weirdness, they seem very good. These are a great solution for anyone who uses a SteamVR compatible headset, and wants full body tracking without having to purchase and setup base stations. Note the trackers do not include any straps, so you will need to purchase those separately. Your computer should also have a USB C type port for full compatibility for the dongle. A few things to remember when using and setting up... 1) These are camera based trackers so if your cameras get blocked by furniture, other people in the room, pets, or cables, then they may lose their way, so it's best to use these when you are the only person in the room, and in an area where things do not get moved around too much. 2) Lighting is important, so if you are used to sitting in the dark while in VR, this won't work for you, bright lighting is required for the cameras to track properly, and is better suited for smaller rooms. If the area is too large there will be no point of reference for the cameras to find. Obviously, try to avoid mirrors, windows or shiny surfaces in the room. 3) Update the firmware before use to the latest version. There have been vast improvements recently, that will make your experience better. 4) Keep in mind these save an image of your play space in your computer to use as a reference. If you move to different rooms or places a lot, than this may not be for you as you will need to setup the trackers all over again every time you use them in a different space. Overall these seem to be a good product, battery life in real world testing is about 5 hours per charge. System will support up to 5 trackers, however 3 is probably sufficient for most people. Note that if you are buying single trackers, they do not include the USB dongle, and they will not work without one.
