The ANNKE 16-Channel 1080P Lite Security Digital Video Recorder has been absolutely outstanding for our surveillance setup. We currently operate two of these units together in a 32-camera system, and the performance, reliability, and overall functionality have exceeded expectations in every way. The AI Human and Vehicle Detection features work exceptionally well and dramatically reduce false alerts compared to standard motion detection systems. This has made monitoring far more efficient and practical, especially in a larger multi-camera environment. The intelligent detection capabilities provide accurate event notifications while minimizing unnecessary recordings from weather, shadows, or minor movement. The DVRs have proven to be extremely stable and dependable under continuous 24/7 operation. Video playback is smooth, recording quality is excellent, and remote viewing functions perform reliably across multiple devices. The interface is user-friendly while still offering the advanced configuration options needed for professional-grade surveillance systems. One of the biggest strengths is scalability. Running two units together for a full 32-camera deployment has been seamless, making these DVRs an excellent solution for larger residential, commercial, newsroom, or property security applications. The system handles multiple camera feeds efficiently without lag or stability issues. The build quality is solid, installation was straightforward, and compatibility with cameras and network integration worked exactly as expected. For the price point, the performance and feature set are truly impressive. We highly recommend the ANNKE 16-Channel DVR to anyone needing a reliable, expandable, and professional surveillance recording solution. This is a great little and inexpensive recorder that packs a lot of features, to include compatibility with several types of security cameras - even up to three network (IP) cams. Configuration was fairly easy with a well-written instruction manual - very rare these days. Image and video quality is excellent. Annke mobile app software also user friendly. This DVR was a replacement for a much older unit that finally gave out on me after 10+ years. Hoping the Annke lasts as long. So far, I'm very impressed.

I use my security cameras in the most basic way: "Autorun", to sequentially scroll through all of the cameras. This model (DT61BS) has 16 camera inputs and I have 12 cameras. It works flawlessly with my Q-See cameras, with a better image than the Q-See VCR on my 20 inch VGA monitor, however, there is no way to disable the 4 extra inputs so as not to show blanks. I find it hard to believe that such a basic feature isn't supported. On the other hand, customer support apologized and sent me 4 free cameras to fill in the 4 spaces.

I'm super impressed with this 16-channel DVR. It was so easy to switch from Night Owl and Samsung to this Annke 16-channel 1080p. I was concerned that i have to buy new cameras in order for the AI recognition to work, but to my surprise my mixed digital, wireless and analogold cameras worked with this system. The app loaded really fast, and I can monitor my home from anywhere in the world.

Made a mistake and purchased a SANNCE unit first. The SANNCE worked as a DVR, but I had trouble with connecting it to my phone, which is just as important to me as the DVR recording. The Zosi also had network difficulties. Not only does this Annke device work with my existing cameras it easily connected to the mobile app. Additionally the software seems better overall. The user experience with their software is much better, the camera images actually appear more clearly and crisp than any of the other lower end Amazon DVRs I have tried. I guess the main lesson I learned is don't simply look at Amazon reviews. Dig one step deeper and look at the reviews of the mobile apps on the Google Play Store or Apple's App Store. If the mobile functionality is important to you, the mobile software is just as important as the firmware on the actual DVR.

I purchased the ANNKE security camera system in November 2024, and unfortunately it completely stopped working after about six months. The cameras suddenly blanked out and have not worked since, which defeats the purpose of having a “security” system in the first place. To make matters worse, because the failure happened after the return window closed, I can’t return it or get my money back — so I’m now out more than $300 for a system that’s totally useless. For something this important, I expected far better reliability and support. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this product. If you’re looking for a dependable security system, i’d suggest looking elsewhere.

I bought a DVR that is only a DV. There is no recording device. The old device was broken and I am using this one to produce the video. That is does very well. The instruction show how to install a disk drive and someday I may try that.
