SYBA SD-DAC63107 192 KHz/24 Bit DSD USB Audio DAC - Black/White

Decent sound quailty great for the money it claims to support 128bit DAX but so far I've only found 64bit files work, 128 bit give an error "Unrecoverable playback error: Sample rate of 352800 Hz not supported by this device"

This is for the Syba SD-DAC63107 that is $150+, Not the cheaper one. Amazon has been mixing all the Syba DAC reviews together. I did a direct compare between this DAC and my $5000 Bryston BP17-3 Preamp DAC and spent hours trying to hear a difference. I finally gave up and called it a tie. Works with IOS devices using Camera adaptor and Android using OTG cable. Also, it’s built like a tank. Good enough to use in hifi home or pro audio applications. Once this I connected to your device, the volume on your device must be set to maximum volume to get a bit perfect digital feed. At first I thought this worked like my Mojo that automatically sets the digital volume to a bit perfect feed...I couldn’t figure out why the volume output was so low. So with the volume set to maximum on the device, the headphone output is more that enough for all the headphones I own. The digital out is nice if you need it. I wish there was a fixed line out. All 3 analog outputs are controlled by the volume control. The one oversight in my opinion. Also, it would be nice it it had a (recessed) bit perfect switch that would always create a bit perfect sync between the DAC and the decive. For pro audio, the Cs4392 family of DAC chips is the best I have heard when paired with the EV ETX Series Speakers. Super clean and Sweet. Overall a fantastic DAC!!! Way beyond my expectations!!!!!!!!!! For home use you want to have warmer speakers/headphones to match with this or the sound can get too lean.

Device failed after two months of use. No longer detected in any computer, using different cables, powered or not. Amazon and Syba will do nothing about it. AVOID.
