I've had my e-reader for ten years. It's just as good as the newer e-readers on the market, with the exception that it's not backlit. I recently, reluctantly browsed the internet to buy a newer e-reader with a back-light, but lamented the idea of wasting money and adding to waste in the world by throwing out a perfectly functioning e-reader and replacing it with a new one.Thankfully, I came upon this LED reading light, that has many advantages and features, including, the build quality seems durable, not cheap; it's adjustable and flexible; it has brightness control and it has a rechargeable built in battery that is charged via usb. Not, only does this device work well with my ereader, but it fulfills my needs as a graduate student when I have to read late into the night or while traveling and I need a light to read my textbooks when there's no lighting or low lighting. The lighting projects evenly across the screen or pages, adding sufficient light to make reading in the dark easy.I am glad I researched this device over other similar devices, because not only did I save money by not having to buy a new e-reader for the back-light, but I'm saving money by not having to constantly buy new batteries or worry about not having a new battery on hand when the battery loses it charge. I just need to plug it in to recharge it. It fully charges within 30 minutes. A good buy!

I got this light because it was exactly what I needed for my computer while I work in my car at night. I got the light really quick after ordering it and used it immediately. The light was perfect for what I needed especially since there was different brightness settings. However, the light lasted about 25 minutes and I had to charge it. No, problem except that IT WILL NOT WORK WHEN CHARGING. After the indicator light when off after it had charged, I put it back on the monitor of my laptop and continued to work. Well, it died after about 30 minutes, again. So, I charged it again. Now, since this thing charges through the usb port on my laptop, I figured I could just use a double male usb cable to charge it with. WRONG. IT WILL NOT CHARGE WITH A USB CABLE.....AT ALL. Honestly, this light is designed perfectly and I'll give it 5 star for the design, but that's all I'll give it. If it could me made to use with a usb cable and function at the same time, you'd have the perfect light.......Update: Customer service definitely hit a homerun with their help. I was sent a new light and it worked just as described. Now I have a light that i can use at night without any issues. Thanks!

SUPER bright little book light. Excellent battery life and perfectly fits in the kindle. One minor gripe is that it’s a bit awkward to charge that’s why the four stars otherwise it would be 5 stars

Worked once. Every other time it shut off after a few seconds.

I only bought this for use with a Kindle but it just doesn't fit right. It snaps off of it when I'm laying on my side and reading late at night in bed. I have to be very careful how I move the Kindle. The clip looks like it's holding fine on the front but in the back, it doesn't lay flat against the Kindle and that's the problem. The brightness is fine and has plenty of settings to adjust that but I'm really not happy that this was advertised as for use with Kindles and it definitely is not. They should take that part out of their ad.UPDATE: I decided that the whole problem was the clip, so I removed it and have taken the flexible part that is meant to run through the clip and just taped that to the back of the Kindle with duct tape. Problem solved. Now it is exactly what I wanted with zero aggravation.

Very easy to use. Can't speak to battery life as I won't use it a lot. It may take me months before I use it long enough to test the life. I can keep charging it between uses. The 4 brightnesses are very wide in difference. It may not get dim enough though. But I want it as a light for seeing buttons on a control panel in the dark, not for reading. The clip is plenty big enough. It slides up and down the flexible part so it is very adjustable.My only concern is durability. It may not last very long. For now, though it is working very well.

At first the instructions left me quite confused as they said to ‘pry up the plastic sheet under the spring’ to insert the light fixture. In fact, the light fixture arrives *already* inserted and ready to use. Then I pulled it out and couldn't figure out how to re-insert it other than to slip a nail file under one of the plastic layers and force it up. I’m always afraid to do that with rigid plastic pieces in case that’s not what’s called for and it breaks off. In fact, this plastic piece lifts up easily and the light re-inserts handily. The USB ‘plug’ is a little fragile and probably requires some care with repeated charging uses but overall, what a great buy. I couldn’t be happier. Perfectly for reading - ebook or hard copy - on long haul flights without irritating my neighbor with the overhead light.

The light fit well on my kindle, but it was very awkward to use and position. I also think that it was pretty difficult to figure out how to charge at first, but I figured it out. Just plug it straight into the block or computer. No cord necessary. I didn't think that the light was very bright. Felt cheaply made and honestly just wasn't a fan, ended up returning it. Not that it didn’t do what it was supposed to, but it just didn't do it well enough.
