This box of lactobacillus granules is a dietary supplement that you sprinkle on food or put in milk. I’ve never taken probiotics in any form other than capsules, so this is new for me. I like the format, but I didn’t look closely enough at the pictures in the ad. I read the description and it said that this was “a daily probiotic…” and I misread that to mean that you take it daily. Nope. The instructions say to take 3 to 4 packets a day. When I ordered this, the price was $23.99. I thought it was expensive to have 12 days at $24. But at 3 or 4 times a day, this is $24 for only 3 or 4 days’ worth! There’s no way I can pay $3,000 for a year’s worth of probiotics. In addition, it has milk and whey, so allergens, be aware. On the positive side, I sprinkled it on my yogurt and it mixed super easily and had absolutely no flavor (positive or negative), so it didn’t distort the taste of my food. Also, it is made in USA. That always makes me feel good when it comes to supplements.

This is a decent no frills probiotic. It’s pretty reasonable for flora and fauna maintenance from what I can tell. It was reasonably priced. It was tasteless and I didn’t have any digestive side effects. It was no worse than the daily probiotic I was taking so I can’t tell if it was better either. The packaging was minimalist to say the least. The package didn’t have a gmp mark or any third party testing mark and the capsules were very tightly crammed in the bottle. I’m surprised that none of the capsules were broken.
