Fits Harley Benton Telecaster!
I bought a B stock (played) Harley Benton TE for fifty quid delivered, so wasn’t expecting much. It is decent, tbh, and certainly as good as a Squire I have owned. Anyway, people with HB’s know they can be difficult to mod as some of the OEM components are weird sizes. I measured the original nut and the Kaish bone nut appeared to be identical, so I gave it a punt. The original (sat on the first fret in the picture) was badly cut on the top E string, so it always rattled like a son of a gun. It luckily popped out with just a light upward pressure from the slightly overhanging side. There was no more than a sliver of glue holding it in, so no need to file or square the slot. Bonus! I don’t even need to re-string the guitar to know already that this will make a massive difference to the tone and the aforementioned rattle.

Decent for the job...
Cheap enough nut. Had some little holes that appeared when I was sanding into shape.Took a bit of work, not the worst and polished up nicely.

fantastic
I got this for my Harley Benton TE-52 Telecaster. All I had to do was file the thickness down using a fine file, so it would make nice snug fit into the slot.Just needed to slightly deepen some string slots using junior hacksaw bladeNow this nit keeps great tune, better than my previous Graphtec nut.I would recommend this Cow Bone nut

Great Quality for a budget price.
Great quality for the price. Good clean tone from it too. Fairly easy to file down, recommended.

Worth doing it yourself
So I bought this nut for my telecaster and overall it works great but needed a lot of work. It was quite a lot chunkier and taller than needed (this makes sense as it’ll fit more guitars once sanded to shape), so that wasn’t an issue for me as I was able to shape it to fit my guitar neck exactly. My issue is the string slots needed a lot of work, they may as well have not existed. After a lot of slicing and scraping with a craft knife I was able to get the strings to sit perfectly. It’s definitely improved the playability of my guitar compared to the horrible plastic nut that it came with. This was the first time I’d ever changed a nut and with sand paper and craft knife I was callable to make it fit perfectly (a file would be better for the slots but I don’t own one). I also like the unbleached look with my maple fretboard as it blends in nicer than a bleached white one.

You will need to cut the string slots
Decent piece of bone. Well countoured and size was perfect fit for my Strat nut slot. But the string slots are barely visible and will need to be cut and sized for each string. In may case this needed a junior hacksaw and a thin modelling file. Once done I’m pretty sure the tone is an improvement over the original plastic nut.
