Simple Solution Stain & Odor Remover, 1 Gallon Refill

This product is brilliant. I have been using it for a number of years now (since I discovered it)and recommend it to all the pet owners that I know. It really does do what it is supposed to do - and is the only product that I have found which actually gets rid of odours so much that my dog does not return to the same spot. I have used it for 3 different dogs now and have found it to be effective with all - especially at the puppy stage when they are weeing everywhere. I have also found it good for getting rid of other 'nasty' and difficult to remove odours - eg milk, vomit etc. I don't know how I managed before I discovered it!

We tried this product a few times when our dog decided to mark his territory, i.e. our carpets. It didn't seem to work very well - the odour went away but the stain remained, even after working hard with cold water and a cloth before spraying on the solution. Then we read the instructions! When it says soak the area, it means soak it. Even more importantly, the solution MUST be left to dry of its own accord: don't mop up with kitchen towel, etc. It may take a few days to dry, but once it has dried you will find the stain has gone. Just trust it to do its job - after all, it is GUARANTEED to work.Buying a big bottle has proved cost-effetive. We transfer the solution to a smaller bottle with a spray nozzle on the top and spray it on. Not sure I would want to pour on straight from the bottle provided.Before using Simple Solution we tried a well-known ammonia-based carpet cleaner, which left the house smelling of ammonia for hours and didn't touch the stain. When we spoke to our vet, she warned us that the ammonia will actually encourage a dog to mark the area, so it is likely to make the problem worse.

It does what it says on the tin and leaves a wonderful fresh smell. I don't have to worry about my dogs leaving unpleasant odours about the house or garden any more. Brilliant just brilliant.

This product is nice clean smelling and does eventually get rid of oders unfortunatly this does take a few day for it to acivate and room to become oder free. you have to use the product neat on the pee site area and treat a bigger area 2-3 times bigger. so as you can see you start to use it at quiet a fast rate. I even put it in my carpet washer machine and washed all carpets 2-3 times over as well with the product to make sure there wasnt anything triggering the cat to go. I even treated and washed the underlay and ripped all out and hung to dry.as you can see put a lot of time and effort with this product to stop the smells and ouders so thhat the cat wouldnt be able to smell it again.The product was great for getting rid of the smells in time and stains unfortunatly 2 things the cat went back to the areas that were heaverly treated and where used neat unfortunatly the carpet backing has come away and carpet has like ruffled slightly.but still its still better then the smell of peep.s as with most products I had to keep the cat out the way but was not just for a few hours but was for a day or 2 until the product was completly dry

This is one product that we always keep around - and we don't buy many! (washing up liquid, laundry liquid & disinfectant to be precise).Apart from being the best we've used on all sorts of 'dog' stains, it works on laundry and recently removed old stains from an antique vegetable dyed Turkish rug that we bought rather cheaply due to existing stains - although try this at your own risk!Once dry, there is no nasty 'product' smell, unlike some brands.

I live in Germany and was only briefly in the UK. This same bottle of SS costs 92 Euros in Germany so it was important that I get this in England. When I ordered it according to the description with the shipping it should have made it to the address where I was staying before I left, but it arrived 2 shipping days later and I was long gone. My friend will bring me the order in April,but I was kind of disappointed in the somewhat slower than described delivery. Ah well, stuff happens!

I don't know what I would do without this product. Over the years, I have tried everything I could find on the market to deal with problems caused by my furry companions, having had numbers of cats of varying ages. Currently two of my four cats are 18 years old, so I have just ordered my fourth large bottle! Believe me, "it does exactly what it says on the tin".

We bought a new house a few weeks ago and were stunned when we took possession to find that the previous owner's cat had used a few places on the basement carpet as its "litter box". The smell was overwhelming, and wafted throughout the house. We hated to pull out a pretty new carpet, so did some internet research and learned that an enzyme cleaner was a must to actually degrade the compounds that cause the incredibly strong smell in old cat pee. Simple Solution Stain & Odor Remover came up repeatedly as a highly rated enzyme cleaner, so we ordered the spray bottle and a 1-gallon refill bottle. Through scientific investigation down on our knees (!), we identified the affected areas of carpet, then sprayed everywhere, with heavier doses on the worst areas. There was an improvement within an hour or so, but it took several applications on the problem areas over several days till the smell was gone. The product has a pleasant but not overly perfumey odour, which we like because one person in our family is susceptible to fragrance-triggered headaches. We got the impression that the product eliminated rather than just covered the bad smell. I highly recommend this product. We liked the results so much, we bought another gallon to use up at the cottage, where a couple of couches have a musty smell that we hope will respond well. One recommendation - if you're spraying a large area, as we had to do initially, or are making repeated applications, you'll find that your hand gets really tired working the sprayer for extended periods. We had to keep trading on and off with different people doing the spraying. I'd suggest using a sprayer (like you'd use for spraying garden chemicals, but don't use your garden one!)

Shipping during covid is of course slow, but I love the product.

I've tried other brands. This one seems to work the best. Follow the instructions and it'll get the job done. One of my cats kept urinating in the same spot until I used this. Works well on smelly shoes, too.My only complaint is the cap on the bottle. It leaks when I pour this into a spray bottle and the pour spout aligns with the handle so when I pop the top the actual lid is in the way.

The senile and unpleasant Miss Puddy had peed repeatedly on the nearly new mattress in the spare bedroom. The waterproof WalMart mattress pad deserves less than 1 star....but I digress. I tried a home remedy on the many spots. The mattress then smelled like cat pee and vinegar. So, I did some research and decided to give this product a try. I put it into a sprayer and soaked all of the spots really well. Its a pillow top mattress, so I pressed on the saturated spots hoping it would get down into the padding, but really thinking the situation was hopeless. I put a fan on it overnight, and this morning, the smell was gone from the majority of the areas. I re-treated the few spots that still had a slight odor, and this time, I also re-sprayed the spots and rubbed them with a terry cloth towel. It took the stains the rest of the way out, and this afternoon, the smell is gone entirely from the entire mattress. Mind you, the mattress has an off-white covering, and was dotted with ugly yellow stains. Now it is back to its original color with no stains whatsoever. I am more than impressed, and very pleased with the performance of the product. Miss Puddy has passed away. Two problems (or one, really) solved. The price of this product is extremely reasonable, and the gallon container is not even half gone.
