LaserMax Rail Mounted UNI-MAX Laser (Green) LMS-UNI-G

I mounted this to my M&P 9mm and it fit very tightly to the weaver rail. It is made out of plastic...sort of in the same way the M&P, glock or other polymer framed guns are. The plastic is very strong but if you go gorilla on the screws you can break it. The switch is easily accessible and ambidextrous. Some have mentioned concerns about inadvertently turning the laser on when holstering the gun but I think there will be equal pressure on both switches reducing that risk. It also has an automatic shut off if it is left on for more than 10 minutes.The green laser is very bright even in daylight...easily visible to 35-40 yards on bright days. I sighted this in using the included tool. One downside to this laser is the windage and elevation adjustment. It clearly warns on the package not to turn the adjustment screws more than X number of turns. However, now that I have set the windage and elevation there is no way to know how much i can turn the screws if I place this on another gun. That being said it was easy to sight in and has not moved in spite of shoot about 300 rounds. One other thing I should mention is that with very small adjustments of the windage and elevation screws resulted massive movements in laser beam travel.A big advantage of this laser is it will come in handy for home defense especially at night. As you might imagine, most perpetrators will not hang around long with a laser sighted in on their chest. If the perpetrator is not skeerd of lasers you can easily see where you are aiming even if you can't see your iron sights and dispatch the perp.Another advantage, at least for me, with this laser is that I have found that I am able to be more consistently accurate with my shooting especially at longer distances. Target acquisition was faster and I was able to shoot with both eyes open...something I have never mastered using iron sights (stupid dominant left eye!)One other downside I have noticed and shouldn't come as any surprise is that there is soot build-up over the lens of the laser. The lens is easily cleaned but I did notice over the course of 300 rounds that the intensity of the laser did decrease due to the soot. I was shooting Blazer brass rounds which seem to shoot reasonably clean for cheap ammunition so I imagine that this will be a problem that will arise with anyone when they shoot enough in one shooting session.In the end I am very happy with this purchase in spite of the expense. It has given me significant improvements in my shooting accuracy and home defense.

1. easy install and fit tight on the picatinny rail.2. Very bright and the strobing was fast to locate at a distance.However i did have a issue with the lasermax when chambering and firing a round.The laser would shut off and i would have to tap or completely take the back apart toget the laser to turn back on.I exchanged with amazon for a replacement Uni-Maxand just recived the package today.Have not fired the weopon with the new Uni-Max however i have continuously cocked the weoponin the attempt to get the lazer to malfuction.And the laser seems to be working greatBut D@$# my luck this time the laser didn't come with the alignment tool.So i have to return the laser once again.With that being said i must say amazon's return service is fast and just fantastic.

Bought this on amazon as looked like a great product.Put in on a Sig Sauer 226 9mm and used the tool providedto line up the laser with the iron sites. Took it to the rangeand after one mag of ammo it was off target by more than 10inchesat 10yds, thought it might be loose so retightened on the weaponbut no better, Used the tool to try and bring back into alignmentand wouldn't move the point of impact at all, tried slight elevationadjustment, nothing. The laser goes on but can't get it to moveat all. Now will have to sit on hold with their tech department andwill cost me to ship it off to get fixed, For a nearly $300 laser siteshouldn't have issues like this within a day of getting it.

do not like the on/off switch

The beam is great however its is pulsing.I mean all the time with no ability to change that to on position.This was not on the description in Amazon however it was on the box but I did not think much of it until I put the battery and found out there is no way to change it.So I will shoot with it in couple of days and see if I can stand it but I did not expect that it will be pulsing ONLY with no on position

Fits compact size perfectly. Rail on bottom for tach light, etc.Easy to install or remove. Two kinds of switches. Beam is bright and pulsates. Even came with extra batteries. Highly recomend this quality product.

Exactly what I was looking for size wise. Has a very low profile that fits nicely into laser/light holsters. The only thing I wish it had was the ability to switch from pulse to continuous beam.

I got this for my AR-15 pistol. I got the most expensive one because I was worried about it holding up under heavy recoil.Well there's no need to worry about that. It didn't work when it arrived. Customer Service told me that it probably got turned on during shipping & they offered to send me new batteries but why would I want that? For this price, I want a unit that was not running hot in a plastic package for 10+ hours.Also, what about waiting a week for the batteries and this doesn't fix the problem?I'm buying a red laser since the technology seems to have been around longer.
