Strictly based upon first impressions, and without extensive use, this is a surprisingly solid tool. I own many Metabo HPT tools and rely on them to make a living. This vac is quite lightweight, even with the battery and accessories attached. The switch is nice, the handle is easy to hold onto, the attachments are quality, some even being metal. Another plus is that the accessories and hose attach securely to the unit, meaning everything can easily be transported together. The HEPA filter and dust bag are beneficial, especially if one needs the use the vacuum for fine dust particles such as sheetrock dust or wood dust from a sander. Probably the biggest surprise for me was that the included hose perfectly fits my Festool sander, as well as my Festool HKC track saw. Wow!! Great job, Metabo HPT!The one minus so far is that top of the unit is a little difficult to attach to the dust bucket when the dust bag is installed. It’s not terrible, but it’s a bit tricky.Update: As others have mentioned, the Flex cordless vacuum bags fit this tool, but it can also be used without the bags, just like any other shop vac. I’ve had this vacuum on my job sites for a bit, and I really can’t find much at all to dislike about the tool. I did wrap a small piece of painter’s tape around the metal pipe ends in order to snug the fit up a little, but other than that, it’s been awesome!

Vacuum is easy to set up and use. Plenty of attachments. Two speed vac settings. Filter cleaning built in. Great tool

This product has a design flaw. Not enough suction, a small hose diameter (non-standard so other attachments wont fit) and then a gasket which is even smaller that prevents material from making it to the bag.Its totally useless, clogs on pet hair and sawdust. I have dumped more material from the hose than from the bag.Also, other better rated units cost less. Metabo should never have sold this design.I tried to return it but missed the date. Straight to the dumpster, not worth the frustration of tying to get it to work. Brooms are more efficient.

its a good vacuum, convenient, but stuff that gets sucked into the hose tends to fall back out when the tool is turned off, so it trails dirt and dust wherever you bring it which is very obnoxious. the hoses also dont connect to eachother very well and like to fall off during use. good buy on sale but kind of annoying to use frequently

Yet,.. there are no dust bags for sale worldwide. No representative from koki, hikoki, or metabo answers any phone call, all automated answering machines are non-functional. No sales distributer has any rp18da dust bags in hikoki or metabo trade names. No ebay seller has managed to smuggle the dust bags into America. Instruction manual code numbers for both replacement filters is false and do not exist in the company catalogues. The bag that comes with the vacuum has no identification of any type. This means that the vacuum is garbage, literally. One bag comes with the vacuum and then you throw the machine away.I noticed the lack of info in the listing but had faith in the brand. I was mistaken to believe it only needed a hepa filter. It needs 2 filters and the dry filter is restricted to Japan. I have not yet tried to find a replacement hepa filter. I am too disgusted to search "metabo" anymore.Update: I started calling maintainance and metabo service shop and in Georgia a mechanic answers the phone. He said the 1st american delivery is scheduled for late february by ship.
