Ok, but not buying for other vehicles
Ok, just don’t like the interface or subscription model. Also if you link to car play the. Linking to camera is not easy due to dropping one application over the other

App update crippled camera.
I was diagnosing a rear camera failure. The app had updated and now requires a registered e-mail address to operate. There is no legitimate reason for this requirement and I will never do it again. My camera is now severely crippled. I cannot change settings, my sole ability to interact with it is to use an SD card adapter to copy videos out. If the SD card dies, the camera is bricked as I will not be able to initialize a new card.As a result of this experience, my advice on Blackvue products is: Avoid.

Nothing but Blackview for me!
My dashcam kit was exactly as expected. The Blackview products are high quality and are very dependable for the job. This is my second Blackview dashcam and I highly recommend their products above all others.

The camera quality is good. Best dashcam I've tried yet.
Installed in my 2021 RAM 1500 crew cab truck. The truck itself lends itself well to installing things like this in the first place. I have a couple thoughts I think people should consider. 1) get a large SD card. While there are cloud features, if you don't have enough space in storage you could wind up losing important footage. 2) Cloud features have a cost. I'm chaffing at how everything seems to come with a subscription attached, so see point #1 above. The cloud features are good, but connectivity is a problem in general and I think that deserves your attention as well. 3) The battery would be a good addition to this BUT IT IS AWFULLY EXPENSIVE for what it is. 4) The LTE option would be good but they should make it work with esim services and unlock it. If I could add it to my AT&T or Verizon account as a device that would be MUCH better. And again, the parts are too expensive as it is. 5) the cable to the rear facing camera could use to be just a little bit longer. If it were long enough, I could mount it on the center sliding window and route the cable down the driver's side of the truck. This would allow it to sit in the center of the back window and simply ride the center window to its open position and back again. But the cable simply isn't long enough by about 6 inches or so to make that happen. So instead I had to route the cable down the passenger side and have the rear camera mounted offset to the passenger side to avoide the movement of the center sliding window. This is a minor concern, granted, but it was a little bit annoying.Quality of the camera itself is great. I did very slightly modify the plastic surround on the rearview mirror structure to allow the cable to emerge and connect to the camera. If I sell the truck I'll remove the cameras and no one will ever know they were ever there. I used a couple of simple add a circuit fuse kits to add the cameras to the fuse panel, and rely on the included fuses in the kit.The cameras do monitor truck battery voltage and have not impaired the truck by running down the battery. It definitely turns off when voltage reaches the configurable level. I tuned that voltage up a bit just to make sure it doesn't put a strain on the truck battery. I may very well add the battery pack at some point but the cost is so high I have to work up to hitting the buy button for it.Over all, I love the camera and enjoy having the peace of mind that comes from having evidence should something bad happen. While I nitpick, I appreciate the quality of this product and highly recommend it if you're struggling to make sense of the enormous variety of options that exist in the market today.

Buyer beware! Stay away!
Waste of money! I can’t even log into the app so the entire “ease of use” is garbage. I owned one of the cameras a couple years ago and loved it, but they changed the app and now it’s useless. Also their returns are a joke so now I’m out nearly $500 since it’s not an Amazon return. Learn from my mistake and stay away!

okay camera but not as good as other similar models from other companies
i replaced a think-ware u1000 with this as i've had that camera for over 5 years and i felt it could be replaced with something newer. i got this as i wanted to try a new brand. installation was easy. the camera records good video but the left side of the image seems to be out of focus slightly, but its almost unable to be seen. this seems to be a common problem on these cameras and mine is no different. parking mode is way worse than even my 5 year old think-ware. it will immediately enter parking mode when the car is turned off, guaranteeing it will fill up the memory card with an impact event every time you get out of your car and shut the door. the thinkware and every other well known company's cameras will have a delay to make sure you can get out of your car before it records any events. the G-sensor is also a little more sensitive than i would like. if i go over bumps a regular speed it sometimes triggers, but that might be due to my car's rough suspension. on the bright side, the app is great, and the cloud features work very well too. i am going to return to my thinkware u1000 as it is still working as it should
