This phone holder is super sturdy and easy to install. The magnet is strong enough to hold my phone securely even on bumpy roads, and it doesn’t block the view. I love the sleek design—it looks great on my dashboard. The adhesive is solid and hasn’t come loose. Definitely worth it if you want a clean and reliable car mount!

I have had this for what seems like over a year now. Has worked very well until it's too hot or too cold. The adhesive suction cup fails and just falls to the floor with phone. Now I'm driving and stepping on it while trying to brake or gas. Does not happen often. Would say once every two months or so. And it does not look like it's falling more often. So it's a good ratio. Magnets holds well. But having a metal plate on the back of your phone stops the wireless charging and nfc. Can't complain too much since I continue to use this every day and it's still working.

Edit (Aug 27, 2022): My original purchase was early July 2018, I loved it so much I ordered a second one for my husband to use in his vehicle in November the same year. I have since upgraded to the S21 Ultra .... which is a bigger and heavier phone than I had before. It is also in a Otterbox Defender case. This morning I went out to my car and popped my phone onto this awesome holder ... to find the base was separating. 😞 On the way home? It let loose and was broken. That being said .... this last 4 years in the heat of summers and the chill of harsh winters. Plastic only lasts so long. I'm back to order a replacement! Original Review (circa October-ish 2018): I wasn't sure how well this would work out. I have a Samsung Note 8, and it is in a defender series Otterbox case. It is BIG. It is HEAVY. But after getting pulled over for catching my phone (using it for GPS) as it slid off my steering column, I needed a different way to keep my phone up and visible but also stationary. Most of the other options would not accommodate the sheer size of my phone in its case. I was afraid of the ones that go on the vents, because well, my phone isn't exactly lightweight, I don't want to break the vents. I found this and thought ... for the price, what do I have to loose. It arrived quick. It installed in no time flat. It hasn't moved. It has been hot as Hades underwear around here, and it hasn't moved. My phone hasn't slipped at all either, despite having to drive (almost daily) through horrible road construction that sends everything in the car bouncing and moving around. My only issue is ... why didn't I order one earlier?? Seriously, why??

I typically don’t leave reviews for items, but I wouldn’t want someone to purchase the BESTRIX Phone Holder and regret it later. The phone holder arrived 7/29/2022, the boxing was never nice, packaged well and is a brand-new item. I followed the instructions that come with item, excited to use my new phone holder. Later in the evening after allowing the adhesive portion of the holder to sit for the allotted time, I finished putting the phone holder together; everything looked great! On 7/30/2022 I was able to test my new phone holder starting around 1pm in the afternoon, let me be the first to tell you if no one has mentioned this in their reviews; If your phone has some weight to it, this phone holder is useless. I attempted to adjust the magnetic portion of the holder several times during the day, at the slightest movements my phone began to maneuver itself around and off it goes. I have a Google Pixel 6, using a phone case I also purchased from Amazon. The case protects the phone very well and has a magnetic backing which I assumed would be a perfect fit with the BESTRIX Phone Holder, well I was wrong. My wife and I were out all day, and she too had the opportunity witness the numerous amounts of times the holder simply dropped my phone, turned it sideways basically could not hold the phone in place. Luckly the phone case stood up to the test and my phone was not damaged, I will be returning this phone holder as it is not compatible with a phone that has a small amount of weight to it. The phone holder I was using previously clamped on the sides of my phone and not once ever dropped my phone, and I used that particular holder for nearly a year; good thing I didn’t throw it away! Again, if you have a phone that has weight to it (DONT NOT PURCHASE THIS HOLDER)!

This product is as small as I pictured it to be. When extended, it is like a small crane. It works. It was way too large to sit atop my dash, and I found that it was bulky up there, so I attached it to the right of my steering column, on face of the dashboard but not on the top. (It might work well for you inside your windshield, but again, it looked too huge up there, no matter where I tried to place it). The round suction bottom appears to do the job where I put the unit, and my cell phone does attach/adhere easily to the unit. It comes with a rectangular and a circular very flat and thin magnetic place. You peel off the paper, stick one on the back of your phone and put the phone close to the unit and you fell it grab with a clink. That part is quit strong. TO release the phone, I merely "pull" it off the extended arm end. The back of my phone protection case is where I stuck the circular flat magnet and I don't even know it's there now, so the magnet isn't large or gawdy, but it is functional and very effective in keep the phone in place. The end of the unit does swivel 360 degrees and that lets me position my phone at an angle, horizontal or vertical or a combination. You then turn a locking nut on the inside of the end of the unit until it threads tight and the unit doesn't spin or turn. The long extender arm does not swivel, but it does go up and down up to about 90 degrees downward. It's well built; absolutely no problem with the quality. It is large and it has some weight. I view this will last a long time, based on how it is built. It does hold my phone perfectly still over bumps, etc. Where you put is, based on your need, windshield or dashboard, may be different than you thought when you see and feel the holder. I suggest you take a long look at the pictures and where, specifically, you plan to stick the holder, before you purchase this. It's well built; performs like it's marketed; is easy to adhere to a surface, and it does come off/release easily, leaving no marks behind. No drilling, etc, just peel back a few pieces of paper to reveal the sticky spot and magnet. If you don't like where you initially stuck it, a gentle pull releases the unit with little effort. Where I ended up putting it works for me. It's a good holder, just a bit on the huge side. Buy it.

I installed to my new car, Mercedes 300. It was very easy to install and worked perfectly. I was afraid that the stand-up screen of my car will make the dashboard space limited to its suction cup. Actually, it fits well. I used it for one day only so far. The suction cup works perfectly. The magnetic works very well too! The appearance of this product looks very nice quality as well. Doesn't look cheap at all. It worth the money! The company sent me an email on the day I received the product and announced "ONE YEAR return policy"! In general, good quality product with super good post sell service! I am very satisfied and recommend this product if you want a good one. Addendum: after a few days, it fell when weather getting a little warmer. The suction cup doesn't stay on my dash board. I contacted the company. They said it is because my dash board is leather. They do offer replace or reture. I love this product because it looks like a good quality one. So I adjust the angles and put on my windsheld which works fine. Hopefully it will work in summer too.

***UPDATE to the UPDATE*** Reached out to Bestrix for Warranty repair, and Voila in less than 24 hours on a weekend they had a completely new unit ready to send to me. So I have to give them credit for such a fast turn around, especially on 3 day holiday weekend. Wow, I can't complain, so it's back to 4 stars...okay 5 stars for customer service and we'll revisit the product. *UPDATE* Well it lasted for a while, then it broke. See pictures above. I really had hoped that this had some longevity because, I really loved the thing...but oh well. Okay I had to admit I was skeptical, but I figured I'd give this a try so I wouldn't have to keep using the windshield. I know some states are ticketing folks for having GPS/ Phones attached to the windshield. What makes this product super duper fantastic is that I can hang it below the dash line, well actually the phone. This helps to prolong the life of your device because it's out of direct sunlight, and on most cars you can angle your AC vent to blow cool air, which is excellent for road warriors who put down some miles and worry about their device overheating. Also out of site, so the cops won't hassle you. Also that low profile leaves the dash and windshield clear of any obstacles thereby not hampering your field of view. Next great thing, is that suction cup! I have a textured dash, mostly flat, I think the way it works, is it has one of those latex like suction pads, kind of like a gel pad that grips the surface and down in the fine texture valleys of the dashboard and provides super suction. Make sure you clean the dashboard with a towel and water and let dry, don't apply any conditioner or dash clean to the area. Also make sure you don't put you fingers in the clean area (hand oils can xfer), and then press down and flip the latch. Talk about hold.. and yes the hold of the magnet, I have a large phone with an otterbox defender case and I used the rectangular magnet, it's got a good pull, but comes off easy when you pull wit the hand. I attached and drove over some normal roads, and bumpy roads and it held with no problem, but with the twist of the wrist it came off. Finally if you're worried about it bouncing around as you drive not to worry, that thing is rock solid. I bought one for me and my wife, with her installation she has a mild curve to the dashboard, and it installed with no problem and gave me the same super suction. The suction gel pad forms around most surfaces to give you a good grip. Her set up in different she prefers vertical with the magnet towards the bottom third of the phone, I use it horizontally with the magnet in the middle. The key thing to remember surface area on both the mount and the magnet. You won't as much surface area covered by the magnet/ mount as you can to help keep everything stable and secure. If you are not using a case you will have an even better magnet attraction. All in all a great product. I have a few other units but this one is perfect because I can mount on the dash, adjust for viewing angle and keeping it below the deck line helps to keep my field of view clear from any obstacles. a great buy!!! On another note I was suppose to get one day shipping Amazon, you guy's hosed it up and added three extra days to my one day shipping, totally uncool.

I had this on my Hyundai Sonata & it was my best friend. I have it placed differently on my Hyundai Tucson now but still works like a charm! The product itself is great! I love this, hence my it was purchased again. It's not too heavy & the suction to my dashboard works great. The magnets secure my phone and it's easy to use! Once the magnets meet, its locked in! The process if getting it was horrible. The first one I bought (this time around) was defective. The suction won't suction unless the lever is functioning properly. The lever I'm talking about is the one behind the extension to where your phone sits (I have a picture pointing at it). It needs to be unlocked, then place on your dashboard, then locked in for the suction to work. If your lever doesn't work, reach out to the company, you received a defective product.
