Seapora 52049 Nitrate + Nitrite Pad

I think this is a good product. If you have a serious nitrate problem though this on its own most likely will not be enough. I think it excells at helping to maintain safe levels. It will bring your water into safe parameters as long as your nitrate levels aren't close to toxic to begin with. You cut this to size to fit your needs. For " hang on back" power filters your likely to have unusable pieces left over. (Too small to use). If they were to change the dimensions of the sheet it could provide for less waste. Most cartridge type filters are similar in size so it shouldn't be hard for the manufacturer to do. Makes you wonder if they do it on purpose so that you only get so many usable pieces.

Hello, bought this for my saltwater tank as my nitrates and nitrites were high and no matter a water change or filtration change, nothing seemed to help. So I bought this, and after 1.5 weeks I'm here to say both are at 0 and I have a fish only tank. I would definitely buy again and this really worked. All my levels are picture again.

I put this in front of my filter and it dropped my nitrates in 4 days

Very easy to cut to size and effectively brought the nitrate and nitrite levels down to a normal level.

Thought these were for saltwater, but they are for freshwater tanks. I have both fresh & saltwater tanks so the price was great & will use them.

Use them when I do water changes they work great.

Didn’t seem to decrease levels at all.

Highly recommend this for your tank. With the size of my filter I can actually cut this down two times to the shape. It takes a few days but definitely works! Be sure to swap this out once a month or so, as it can actually dump the nitrates back into the tank if you use it for too long.
