Edited: Talked to an Amazon rep and got a refund less the restocking fee. Ordered a new one hoping this one would work because I just can’t find this exact product anywhere else. This one WORKS!!! It works EXACTLY like it’s designed to work! I think the one we got before was probably the first or last of that batch when it was made. Happy I reordered!! This did not work as advertised. From the start ammunition gets stuck, jams and stops the process. Will not be buying this again. Total waste of money. I’d really like my $ back but it says the return window has closed.

At first it didn't work very well. After maybe 10 tries it started to work better. Not sure if it needed some lube or if it needs to be broken in a bit, but it works well now. The biggest downside is that its very easy to pinch yourself with it. You really have to give it downforce to get them to go in the mag, and if any piece of skin is slightly in the way you're gonna get pinched. I wanted a made in usa speed loader for 45 into mags and this is the only one afaik. Been using it for 1911 and glock mags.

I could load faster by hand. Jammed on the 1st try for 45 ACP 1911 so not worth trying to figure out why since I already tested 1, for 2x9mm & 1x40 s&w. 1911 no luck pushing, Sig P320 = damaging the casing, Beretta Cougar 8000 no luck & total failure/magazine stuck for Beretta APX A1. Good quality & design but worthless if not working at all on all my guns. I'm proud to buy made in USA but let's do a better job engineering & making it not 1 size fit all.

Faster and saves fingers

I own the 9mm version. LOVE it. Fast loads every time, even jamming 10 rounds of Blazer brass into my tiny CZ RAMI CA compliant 10 rd mags. It took a while for those springs to loosen up, but now I've got it down to a science. This .45 version, however, is a different story. - First, the loading slide on this device isn't even long enough to grab all 10 rounds off the tray (see pic), so you can scoop 9, but then have to slide that 10th round on by hand, immediately slowing you down. - Second, with 10 rounds on the slide, the pushing piece doesn't fit snugly onto the loading slide (see pic) till you have a round into the magazine (assuming you start with 10). So based on the first two bullets, is this simply a 9 round loader? Why wouldn't they make it 1 inch longer to account for the bigger .45 rounds? Frustrating! - Finally, it requires far more force than the 9mm loader. I know, smaller rounds, easier load, yada yada , but still, I have big strong hands, and it still takes my pushing down on a hard surface to use it, as I don't want bruises on my stomach from using it to push against... So its a great concept, and I love my 9mm version, but just a little effort would have made this 45 version SO much more worth the money. I'm keeping it, and will use it, because nothing else comes close, but I'll always be left thinking, "if only..." :)

Seems decent quality. It was a gift.

The one thing to remember is these loaders need to be broken in. Start by loading 2 or 3 cartridges at a time until loading is a smooth process. After loading 4 magazines, loading 5 cartridges at a time was easy. I have a 9mm loader as well and both are easy and quick loaders.
