Bought this in January and its May and it stopped working. Tried to change batteries, restart computer ect and nothing. Too late to do a return now. The mouse still works but keyboard does not.Update: The seller reached out and offered to send us a new one. We received it June 5th. It is working good. Very satisfied now.

Good size for laptop
I purchased this "compact" keyboard so it would fit in my briefcase as I traveled from home to office. The old standard size keyboard would not fit in my briefcase and would hang out. This keyboard fits perfectly with my laptop, is thin, lightweight, and has the full number pad I needed. Before I got this keyboard, I had purchased another product but had to return because the numbers on the number pad were in the order of the telephone and not that of an adding machine. This keyboard number pad is "normal" for accountants. The keyboard is somewhat quiet; if I forget to mute my phone on a conference call you can hear me type. The mouse is very silent.Because this is a compact keyboard, I have to get used to the backspace and delete buttons being very close together and not in the standard placement. I am willing to retrain myself so I do not have to walk around with a keyboard hanging out of my briefcase. This keyboard and mouse did not come with batteries. The mouse is sleek in design and comfortable.

Slim and sleek
Very sleek and compact. Flat and thin with only a slight incline. Hands on the keyboard are more flush - if you have trouble with wrists and hands just know that your forearms will be laying on your desk or surface (or at least that is how it is for me.) It is a good 3-4 inches shorter in length than a regular keyboard. However, I wanted something smaller because I am working off of two systems and have two keyboards on my desk so the smaller one is helpful for space. Buttons are not as tall and it is an adjustment to the way I type and am making typos more often, but it is just an adjustment. Very easy to set up and has a nice feel and look.

Long-lasting, does it's job.
I've had this keyboard for over 3 years and it's still going strong. I use it daily throughout the work week and have never had any issues. The battery life is long, the slim profile gives me more space on my desk, and the color breaks up the mundane black-everything-electronic feel of my desk (including the desk itself). I'm not using the wireless mouse only because it doesn't make sense for my setup, so I can't comment on the functionality of the duo. Overall, this keyboard has surpassed my expectations for the price.

Brings out the rage
I should've heeded the advice from many other reviewers. This product at first glance it looks very nice and for what it's worth the one star could be given for its appearance. Unfortunately this is where the pros stop. Everything about the functionality of this is horrible. Sitting about 12-16 inches from the dongle so results in substantial drops and often I find myself typing with no input. The mouse frequently skips around the screen or freezes all together. Both the left and right mouse buttons are monster mash. Just the mushy things you could ever imagine. No physical feedback, hardly an audible noise, I seem to find myself clicking with just the inner pieces near the wheel for any type of feedback from the mouse. The plastic is glossy and print to excessive fingerprint smudging but I guess that's to be expected and it's not a knock on the functionality just dated aesthetics. Both devices are run from one dongle which may be causing some of the issues. On that note make sure you don't lose it otherwise you'll need to replace the whole set up.Overall this is just a junk product but you also get what you pay for. I'd send it back but I was tricked into a place of false security and the away the box before this thing started acting up so I'm stuck with it. Do yourself a favor and spend a few extra dollars and buy a well known brand you'll be thankful.

Don't make my mistake! Things to consider before purchasing...
Function of keys:I am a student, and I use "copy/paste" with control V and control C at least 100 times a day. This keyboard is missing the control key on the right side. In place of it is a key that gives a drop-down list where you may arrow down and choose copy or paste and other options. I cannot get used to using the control key on the left side versus the right. I don't need this key (see the arrow in my photo) when I can just right-click my mouse instead. For this reason, I will be returning the keyboard and mouse, yet I should have noticed this prior to purchase.NOTE: Pay attention to all the function keys, and do they fit your needs? For me, the numeric keypad is a must!Keystroke:The mechanism that makes the keys respond to touch is 'switch'. I'm learning that rubber dome switches, scissor switches, and mechanical switches are the primary types of switches used by most manufacturers. The switches make all the difference in sensitivity, level of noise, and comfort. I like that this keyboard uses scissor switches; it's comfortable and quiet to type.Design:The mouse is great, and I like the finish of the keys; they have a matte finish that has a good feel while typing. This keyboard has a sleek design and is lightweight.Because I suffer from carpal tunnel syndrome, I'm realizing I'd be better off with an ergonomic keyboard, which is designed to position your hands naturally and reduce strain by offering a proper wrist rest to maximize comfort.Compatibility:Wireless keyboards connect to the system via Bluetooth and can be somewhat tricky to setup, unlike plug-and-play USB cord keyboards, yet I had no issues with setup. Make sure you have AA batteries, and conveniently, there is only one USB receiver that controls both the keyboard and the mouse.
