There is a mixture of walnut halves, price large enough to salvage and small pieces. I ended up using the pieces for cookies. More pieces than halves. Overall quality is acceptable

I have been ordering and baking with these nuts for several years now, and can highly recommend them. The freshness, flavor, and texture is first rate, and I have never gotten unpleasant shell fragments, rancid flavor, or dryness. I use them in my Christmas braid breads, my Easter breads, under my cheese cakes, straight from the bag, and sometimes candied. I Love my walnuts.
