Amazon Fresh, Just Bright Whole Bean Coffee, Light Roast, 12 Oz

These beans are really, really great. The coffee is flavorful and brews well. I decided to try whole bean coffee because the ground coffee at the store has been not great these last few months. It's been bitter and awful, and the prices kept going up and up. I decided to try whole bean and bought a grinder here too for less than twenty bucks. I am so glad I did this, because grinding the beans as I need them in the morning has produced such a flavorful coffee, and I find myself using less sugar. I will definitely buy this brand of coffee beans again. Delicious and priced right.

Amazon Fresh Just Bright Whole Bean Coffee cured me of a certain kind of coffee snobbery. I’ve subscribed to the usual high-end names—Intelligentsia, Stumptown, and plenty of others—and somewhere along the way I grew tired of the ritual. Too many beans arrived over-roasted, oily, expensive, and oddly joyless. Just Bright is not that. It is light, clean, low-acid, and easy to drink every day. The flavor is subtle without being thin, smooth without being dull, and mercifully free of that scorched, boutique-coffee heaviness. At some point, good coffee should simply be good coffee. This is. Get the coffee-snob monkey off your back and drink the good beans from Amazon.

TLDR: this is not a light roast. Not even close. It’s a medium roast. Depending on your brewing methods, it’s a decent cup of coffee and you get what you paid for (for the beans). There is ZERO mention of a “roast by” date. Only an expiration date. Who is this for: for your average Joe coffee drinker who’s looking for a better cup than your instant foldgers instant coffee. Who it’s NOT for: if you have ANY sort of workflow in your coffee routine, this coffee is not for you. If you don’t know what the word “workflow” refers to, this doesn’t apply to you. If you use scale to dose your beans, this coffee bean isn’t for you. Taste: everyone’s pallet is going to be different. Not to mention everyone’s brewing method is different. I have dialed this to the best of its ability/taste. 16g dose. Spritz with RO water. Grind with my timemore C3S max (this bean does not deserve my Z1 K ultra), preheat/pre wet my Acaba cafec v60 paper filter, hario v60 glass pour over. 60g water, 60sec bloom. thereafter 60g water every 35sec until 240g is reached. RO Water at 94c Full drain in 3:00min. I won’t talk about notes because this will make no sense to non-enthusiast. But I will say the coffee does have a decently clean taste, not harsh notes, and is relatively smooth. I bought this to try because I am an Amazon-all-things customer (I am also a Costco-all-things customer). Unfortunately, these beans just don’t meet my needs. Obviously I am not expecting a 32oz bag of whole beans for $10 (what I paid) to complete against a specialty bean that’s $25 for 12oz. However, I am docking 1 star because the description of “light roast” is incorrect. /edit 3-1-26. I am on my second bag. This overall profile has grown on me. This is a fantastic “medium roast.” Where is shines is its economical cost. It is easily a daily driver if you don’t want to be spending $$$ per month on beams. I still think this is a clean tasting blend that isn’t offensive in any way. I “would” definitely give it 5 stars if not for the fact they labeled it a “light roast.”

I love a light roast coffee and this is a favorite of mine. It’s not bitter. I love that it’s in the whole bean form so I have super fresh coffee every time. Great big bag for a reasonable price! I recommend this!!

I've been looking for a solid daily driver for my morning brew, and this Amazon Fresh Just Bright Coffee delivers. It really is great coffee at a reasonable price. What I liked: Flavor Profile: For a light roast, it has a surprisingly crisp and clean taste. It’s not overly acidic, which makes it very easy to drink black or with a little cream. Whole Bean Freshness: Buying it in whole bean form makes a huge difference. The beans arrived well-sealed, and the aroma when grinding them is fantastic. Excellent Value: It’s hard to beat the price point for a 12 oz bag of specialty-grade beans. It holds its own against much more expensive boutique brands. Consistency: Every cup I've brewed has been consistent—bright, smooth, and exactly what I want in a light roast. One minor thing: Roast Depth: While it's labeled as a light roast, it leans just a tiny bit towards a medium-light. It’s perfect for me, but if you prefer an ultra-light "blonde" roast, this might be a shade darker than you expect. Overall, it’s a fantastic budget-friendly option for anyone who appreciates a bright, flavorful cup of coffee!

I bought this it use for out DeLonghi Magnifica Evo automatic espresso machine and the beans work perfectly with it: doesn't gum up the machine! They have a great flavor and the value is unbeatable! I have recommended these to friends and family already but have had these on subscibe and save for about a year!

I love this Coffee. It’s not harsh to get down but has a very good kick to it when consumed and gets me up and moving pretty quickly. Some other Coffees have given me ulcers. I don’t suffer any acid issues with this blend and brand and can make my Coffee very strong ( I worked SOCOM in the Army and we all abused Coffee very much ) and not cringe from bitterness and shiver from my innards trying to rebuke the Coffee this Coffee my innards look forward to it entering and soon after my Cup has been sucked dry I am very ready to sit down on that Throne in the restroom and drop some weight off. This Coffee does everything I want Coffee to do and it’s not illegal to drink either in this Country, yet. Try this stuff and tell me that it’s not the perfect Coffee. I have gone through a few bags of this Whole Bean one as well as its Sister one the Ground version and gave up on the Ground one and find hand grinding my own and using my handy dandy super special and best in the world 1 of a kind Prototype Rite brand French Press yield's the most outstanding Coffee. Its so darn good its medicinal I tell you. Does wonders. I even notice my Dogs have no fleas so long as I drink only this hand ground Coffee. The AC never breaks down so long as I stay with drinking only this Coffee. If I run out and resort to others everything goes wrong. Everything breaks down guitar strings snap; its chaos! But get back on this stuff and its all smooth sailing; all is well. I dont even get J Walking Tickets from drinking this Coffee; cops cant see me I am invisible to them.
