When I ordered this set, I did so because they were different from other toys I had gotten for my younger grandson. First, they were smaller than the robot figurines I had sent him previously. Second, instead of hands and feet, they had suction cups, which allowed these little creatures to attach to any number of surfaces (my research? a tub wall and a glass tabletop were ideal). Third, THEY COME WITH AN APP! Apparently, these guys are used to create stop=action videos, and their app (StikBot Studio 2.0) has tutorials, a gallery for photos and videos (and a tool to capture them in the first plzce), and another tool to create movies yourself. Full disclosure: I will need a tech-savvy 10 year old kid to work the app and utilize its capabilities, but that's just me; I'm sure others will be much more capable and can start enjoying video adventures as soon as they get these guys. So, why not 5 stars in my review? Well, the one concern I have is the method used to attach the head, arms, and legs to the body: it is basically an elastic string, and I question its durability as you twist and turn these "bots" into different position. I hope I am wrong, and that is the ONLY reason for the 4 star review. These toys PLUS their app look like a very entertaining combination for kids and budding animators alike!
