added a front parking radar/sensor to my 2022 highlander, found an empty acc-on only slot in the engine bay fuse panel, this add-on tap fits tightly there and works well.

So easy to install and fixed a problem. Unbelievably, no auto parts store near me had this part! A must if you're installing any electrical accessory to your car or truck.

These little fuse pigtails provide fused access without disassembling the fuse panel. It worked flawlessly still providing a fused circuit for the original slot but taking power from it and making a second independently fused circuit. Like I said great idea!Only improvement I could suggest would be a shrink wrap connector.

This device is a practical way to tap into a circuit in the fuse box, to power a 12 volt accessory. I used it to tap into the circuit whose fuse is labeled "RADIO/ACCY" in the vehicle owner's manual, to power a dashcam and have the ignition switch turn it on and off. The original fuse goes into the slot closest to the blades, and the add-on fuse goes into the slot closest to the wire. It is important to orient the device so that the end opposite from the wire connects to the +12 volts of the circuit, so that current to the wire has to go through the add-on fuse.In the case of my 2005 Ford Ranger, there was not enough room next to the fuse slot for this device to be oriented the way it should, because the fuses stick out to the side from the device. I had to turn it around so that the fuses are sticking out the other way. The effect of doing that is that current for both the original accessory (radio) and the add-on accessory (dashcam) goes through the original fuse, then current for the add-on accessory goes through the add-on fuse. For that reason, I replaced the original 10 amp fuse with a 15 amp fuse, to accommodate the extra current, and I inserted a 5 amp fuse into the add-on slot to provide current to the dashcam. So, this fuse tap device can be oriented the right way or the "wrong" way and still work.

I had purchased a dashcam and realized i didn't have an open fuse so i had to use a Tap. I found this deal which was a great value, and since it was my first time doing this type of thing, i figured having some extra's incase i messed up would be a good idea. i got it on the first try and it was easy to do. I ended up buying another dashcam and used this again to connect that one. It does what it does.

This is a great little item. Not only does it plug right in to give you an easy access to power without splicing into your wiring harness, it also has a second fuse, which not only protects the circuit you added, but also protects the original circuit. Having the butt connector already crimped is a nice feature too. One less thing I had to buy.

Returned, did not fit vehicle despite description indicating it did. Return was easy and painfree.But, as I cannot really rate it, I gave it a solid, middle of the road rating.

Good quality and heavier wire. Good fit for 1999 4Runner. I’ve bought these same ones before. They have held up well over a year and make talking the fuse block a breeze. Just have to make sure you have some room because the black prong end takes up some room with the fuses.

Got these to wire a secondary light system for my truck. I put these in the high beam and fog light fuse plugs and wired them to a switch that I spliced to the relays and then to the lights. They worked perfectly and I can use my stock relays without interrupting power to my lights

I puchased oneof these from a local store and it did not fit my fuse box without some serious modifications with a file. This one fit the mini fuse socket perfectly. They should include a tiny bit of instructions to let you know which seet of sockets is for the original fuse and which are for the add-on circuit in case you are using different fuses.
