This set is my sons first compass and angle set. His school issues a bunch of them but they were all beat up and cracked. So I got him this set, and now his friends moms were asking where he found that. The teachers seemed to appreciate it as well. He says they work great and haven’t broken. They measure precisely and seem to be of quality. A protective tin case houses all the tools together and keeps them from getting shattered or broken. Great kit for a great price for your youngster. Hopefully I don’t have to buy another one.

I draw and paint. I am having trouble with drawing the tops or opening at the top of a vessel. This doesn’t necessarily remedy the problem, but I like it anyway. This is a great buy , especially for a beginner. It is made mostly of plastic , so I am not sure of the durability.

The protractor had some of the paint worn off. I think it was a manufacturing defect, or it could have been damaged during the shipping, since it looked as though the compass came loose. The box was also dented. It was cheap though, and I figured it would get damaged from use anyway, so I kept it. Works for my statics class.

As a new student to art, this set is very useful. I use the compass to get accurate circles for the face, for example. The protractor and other gadgets help me get accurate angles. This is proving to be very valuable and I love that it was $6. So wady to use and sturdy enough to travel with.

I have used this for my small woodworking projects. I like the case it's in too.
