The lightbulb colour is a yellowish which affects the colour of the slide film. It would have been better hadit been a whiter light.

I bought one of these from a reputable photographic dealer - and returned it! Although I did not buy it off Amazon, I feel potential purchasers should know of my experiences! First, there is no white diffuser between the bulb and the slide holder: the filament of the bulb is easily visible through the slide, and the reflector behind the bulb is not very effective. Despite following the maker's instructions carefully, every few slides would jamb and it was extremely difficult to extract the jammed slide (I only use plastic mounted slides - card ones can be tricky). Considering this device is quite expensive (and made in Germany) I was very disappointed with my purchase. Not recommended.
